I opened a thread in meta to request the altcoin announcement subforum changed to the forum post edit rules of the auction subforum. So that you can not edit posts in there anymore. Or that a subforum for ICO's gets created that host these settings.

I think that could further stop ico scams from happening. Maybe write in there your opinion so that the staff might consider it.

Sorry to hear that you lost with this too now but i certainly like that you are honest, since yes, reputation and trust is very important if you want to stay in the community. Smiley

Well allow me not to sympathize with him. While apparently honest, he enables anyone to be a scammer. His clients CAN NOT code but they present themselves as talented people with legit intentions........... he knows all this and while he isn't doing anything illegal, it is highly immoral knowing that you provide the main tool for people to scam the noobs and some others in this forum.

I have also made other coins for people that are doing incredibly well and are listed on cryptsy, and trex with a high volume, its just unfortunate that in this instance the end users were idiots....

he is just a service provider he do that to promote her own coin
i think nothing is wrong in that atleast her service is legitimate
he cannot prevent what her customer will do in her work
everyone has a plan until they are punched in the face
i think XUP have a plan but start there lies when there are no buy support in their ICO
and after ICO another lie about burn address
i dont think Crunck will predict that it will happen in his own work
but let skip that right now crunk is right here revealing all what he know

I don't know how a car salesman operate but I would like to believe they won't sell you a car if you can't drive and have no driver's license. Buyer took it out of the parking lot and run over a pedestrian.......... car salesman just laughs it off?? he sold him a car knowingly that the idiot can not drive

Point taken.

I don't wish to get into an argument here, I just provide a service and up until now all has been great and of coarse I shall not be building any more coins for these people, at least not knowingly.

I have read it as if he did not know what will happen and that he sold the second coin before the first one went scam.

At the end he is like someone selling a casino script. The new owners might use it to scam. Or a knife seller. It might happen that the knife gets used for bad things.

So far he could have put everything under the carpet to prevent publicity and gain 0.1 bitcoin. He chose not to so i think that is a good sign. Smiley

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.

I wrote a bit more with the user who gave me the tip of his findings about the github commit and the shilling of certain known users. It was AltcoinSteps, the issuer of StepsCoin: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1173385.new#new and it looks to me like he is a genuine altcoin fan who tries to stop altcoin scams from happening.

So thanks AltcoinSteps for finding the hints and letting me know so that further harm could be prevented. Smiley

Lets hope the community gets more cautious as a whole so that scams get seldom more and more. Cheesy

I got my refund from SebastianJu.  Took me three tries to get my message signed correctly.  He was very thorough as he should be in confirming I own the btc address.

Thanks.

As an altcoin enthusiast it is very important for me that the altcoin scene needs to be cleared up of scams and all the negative publicity.  We as devs and coders have the expertise to check codes of coins and it will be great if more devs start to do the same so we can rebuild trust in the altcoin community.

Escrow services are very important in the altcoin community and it is very good to see that SebastainJu took the necessary steps to expose a scam.

My sincere apologies to miners who lost on this coin and I sincerely hope that soon there will be legit coins, with good devs to mine.

Because of the recent development of the Situation i am closing the pool.

Please stop mining and withdraw your remaining funds. Thanks

I don't have a working computer at the moment, so I don't have a wallet to withdraw them to. Ah well. Just keep the BSH I leave and I will chalk this up as another lesson learned in the grand world of crypto. Not like they're worth anything anyway. :-)

Cheesy

My sincere apologies to miners who lost on this coin and I sincerely hope that soon there will be legit coins, with good devs to mine.
well said. The madness must stop. Accountability is very important in Altcoins to build trust in this technology. I hope we can all come together and build a new way to make  successful coins. Whilst ICO's can boost the progress of a coin; it can also hinder future projects if these threads are riddled with scam. Cheers to a better Altcoin environment.
more devs should donate their time to make good coins great, and I think we can build a better environment.

I would like to add to avoid ANN-Threads that are selfmoderated. Every legit business would be interested in discussing and clearing out problems when they arise. Hiding them is not a good sign.

It might make sense to have a subforum for altcoin-announcements where posts can't be edited. Or the announcements subforum is changed that way. I will see if the forum staff thinks that is a good idea.

Or insist that the escrow dude (SebastianJu in this case) starts and controls the [ANN] or redemption thread.
