Hurry up and sell while you can.  This is just a temporary spike.  Though I'm kind of hoping it keeps up since it will distract people from mining Litecoin... that difficulty needs to come down to the 10-12 range.

Recommended Exchanges: Binance.com | CelsiusNetwork
GPG ID: 4880D85C | 1% Escrow | 8% IPO/ICO Escrow services Temporarily Closed | Bitcointalk is the ONLY place where I use this name (No Skype/IRC/YIM/AIM/etc) | 13CsmTqGNwvFXb7tD9yFvJcEYCDTB8wQTS | Beware of these SCAM sites! | *Sponsored Link

Why sell? Buy! Grin Anyone who's looking for a quick buck needs to GTFO. This is an experiment. I'm in for a YEAR, minimum.

PPCoin is to Proof-of-Stake what I0Coin is to alternate cryptocurrencies, or what Tenebrix is to CPU coins.
An experiment. Thank you for helping cryptocurrency research by buying PPC.

Cheesy People took a chance on BTC and we can all see the many great ideas and possibilities that flourished.

I'm taking a chance on experimentation in general. Code is meant to be improved upon.

Well, that didn't take long.  It's now less profitable to mine PPC than BTC.  Everybody get back onto LTC now!

Maybe, but with 221.30264032 BTC 254.35264032 BTC of bids over 0.00015000, this is far from over.

Just PPC FTW Smiley

and yes experimental currency that could do anything like BTC originally... so yeah I'm in for a few years on this coin min Smiley

want to know if ASIC miners can be used on PPC?? same algorithms right?? so no reason y not?? just out of interest if this is the case... then potentially one user could 51% attack the alt coins easier??? or am i missing something??

ASIC should be able to mine ppc I don't see why not. Although I am waiting for an actual confirmation from someone with ASIC (dunno if there is anything shipping now) to be 100% sure. I don't yet have a confirmation on whether one of fpga miners works. Although nobody complained about not working either.

As to 51% attack, having >50% mining power of the network is not sufficient to control main chain once the proof-of-stake protection is stable. Right now central checkpoints protect the blockchain as well.

Well, there are some heavy hashers at Coinotron and bitparking.

Bitparking top individual hash rate is around 44 GH. If they are doing that with GPU's, that would be one hell of a setup. Shocked

I think that could be some FPGA'S, of course it could be a pool feeding into them.

Coinotron has a 15 GH individual, in the realm of possibility with GPU, but still one hell of a setup.

I run between 5 and 6 GH and that is hard enough to handle between heat and current draw with GPU miners.  Grin
