why should you be a shame? BTC isnt about "who has the biggest e-penis based on MHs/GHs/THs".
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Profitability_Calculator <-- to calculate if its worth and think about what power it costs (in 2 months you would create 1 BTC at current difficulty, not to talk about the ASIC coming and diff staying the same).
the big peoples here dont do it to get rich (well some do), they do it for fun or another greater goal.
as pool EclipseMC should be fair (no ripoff like other pools) or if you go more advanced, p2pool.

If you want to get some BTC, you would be better buying em (exchanging em).

Yep,buy low/sell high, works better than what mh you have, sorry  Sad

Get an account at an exchange & buy some BTC & just trade, try to keep at least a 15 cent difference on each trade, you'll be surprised how fast it adds up  Wink

I took 10 BTC & traded it up to 40 BTC in 2 months  Cool

Good luck !!!!!!!!!

At 50 Mhs/s, your contribution to securing the network is negligible.  To that extent, it's a shame.

If, however, you think a bitcoin could be worth a fortune someday (as many people here believe), then the 'negligible' amount of bitcoins that you mine today might not be so negligible in the future in terms of value.

If you don't plan on becoming a serious miner and don't plan on spending a lot of money on new mining hardware, then my recommendation would be as follows:  Mine bitcoins for a month with your 50 Mhs/s.  Bite the bullet and pay the couple bucks you'll actually lose due to electrical costs.  Then, store them on a USB stick or three, and wait 10 years.  Think of it as a cheap lottery ticket.  But of course, you could just buy some Bitcoins, or better yet, sell something for them!

You're better off saving the money on your electrical bill by not mining with what is most likely an nVidia card, and instead spending those savings on buying coins outright off exchanges. You will end up with more coins, and contribute to increasing Bitcoin's value.

Don't worry about mining, you are probably better off investing in some coins, with all the cool new bitcoin things happening the value is /probably/ bound to go up!

Well...I was wondering about that.  My GPU is so weak that it doesn't even support OpenCL.  Should I take the risk of CPU mining?
Can it mess up your computer?
