Everyone loses in the long run...

If you have 1,000,000 BTC and bet on a dice site using 1 satoshi doing the martingale strat, It can be pretty profitable xD

Why dont you manually bet when you have 1.7 btc? At least you can earn some when you are on manually rather than leaving it with bot and let it run all day long

Having 1m of bitcoin is irrelevant, as there is no dice site that would accept bet that high (insufficient bankroll).
Also, betting martingale with 1 sat base would likely give you less profit than electricity costs. Counting at 1 sat per second (very optimistic), that's entire 25 cents per 24 hours.

Again, having BTC1 million means nothing, max bet allowed on the site is what counts.

No, not everyone loses in the long run.

There are, have been and continue to be many, many poker players out there who, in fact, win in the long run - from professional players  to semi-pro and even amateur. There are many, many poker players who profit long term in different degrees from micro-stakes all the way up to the nose-bleeds.

True, there are countless long term losers, but to say everyone loses in the long run is just incorrect.

You are referring to poker, which is often considered a game of skill rather than gambling. But agree with you, not everyone loses in the long term.

Ps @OP, in case no one pointed it out - it's spelled "loses" not "looses".

You have to be very good at the varient of poker you are playing with. While there are some professional poker players who make a living at paying poker, the amount of them are not that great. You are probably going to loose more with poker than you will win in the time being,

Signatures? How about learning a skill... I don't care either way. Everybody has to make a living somehow.

But in this particular thread many people have accepted their losses in long term even they had made some profits in the beginning of their days with gambling. Most of the people turn greed once they see and experience the profits.

Yes its sad but true only a few people maybe 1 out of 100 might even do well at gambling. The only people making money is the casinos and bookies we the punters just get a seat on the rollercoaster.

Yup! you can say everyone loses in the long run, but to profit through gambling I don't think so, the one I know who's gonna profit because of gambling is a sports analysts they make a living from gambling by compiling odds for bookies, Programmers earn a living from gambling by developing various betting applications, Manufacturers of gaming machines make money from people’s gambling habits, and a lot more to, but the one who gamble's him own money sad to say has a 50/50 chance.

If you have a large bankroll and dice with a small start, you'll be most likely to make profit. Even though it might not be much, the percentage of zeroing out with that big a bankroll is statistically zero.

What is the point then? You have a large bankroll but you only do small betting. I dont think you can even see the movement of your balance and you dont even know you are winning or losing because of the small base bet

totally agree with your reply, when you have ocean of bankroll and if you use only drops then you wont be able to know what is the situation of the ocean , because drops can fill the empty pot but full pot cannot show how much drops you gained or lost it.

It's rather easy to keep track on profit/loss, but there is no point in playing 1 sat base martingale, unless you're hunting for jackpot or just want to test the site or strategy.
