Dogecoin is not popular like 2014, you should know that, I see not many players in your site, if you implement bitcoin poker, or other anonymous coin poker into your site, you can get more traffic.

you must read in tittle thread or you can visit shibes.poker, this now you can deposit use bitcoin, playing use bitcoin not only use dogecoin

A quick update on the state of the site from Such Flush, our long time head systems architect.
Please follow us on twitter: https://twitter.com/PokerShibes  and our subreddit https://reddit.com/r/PokerShibes for up to date news and promotions.

Please note we are still upgrading our bitcoin deposit system and only Dogecoin is available for now!

    Dear Shibes,

Such Flush here looking back on 3 years with Poker Shibes and looking ahead to where we are going!

You may recall BlakShibe's last official update State of the Shibe, September 2016 Edition.

It is my duty and pleasure to inform you that we have made good on several of our promises and goals from then:
    • Infrastructure upgrades include new servers at a new datacenter that will both increase performance and capacity but also lower our operating costs.
    • Mavens software upgrade offering Razz, Stud, HORSE and other mixed games.
    • User survey undertaken
    • New Sunday Tournaments

Some things have stayed the same, such as:
    • Shibes is now well-capitalized, all customer deposits are safe, secure and available for playing poker or withdrawal. (We hope you want to play!)
    • Shibes staff is more responsive and available than ever to address player questions and concerns.
    • Marketing and promotional planning

Three years ago when I started working with the management of Poker Shibes, things were exciting and it seemed like we could only keep going up. Things were also not in the best state administratively, with 6+ red text names sometimes.

Roughly Two years ago when Raventhon and I took sole control of the site, things were daunting, but we felt ever more prepared to move things forward. Unfortunately both Raventhon and I were not able to work on Shibes full time. Soon after Raventhon's new job responsibilities increased both of us were able to focus on Shibes less and less and the site undoubtedly was affected.

Just over a year ago, when I took over the site, it was metaphorically as if our rocket had exploded upon the launch pad. Raventhon left us, in good graces with most users, but in a very tenuous position. I promised two things: I would make sure to take care of everyone, and I would continue to operate Shibes until dogecoin stops trading.

We are now in a position where our rocket has been rebuilt from the ground up and we are ready to begin preparations for take-off. This does mean old marketing plans going into affect, but it also means new ones on the table from marketeers such as /u/BlanceBlackula, /u/digitales, and /u/MCC33

Starting with this post, we will be regularly making posts detailing some of our work with regards to Shibes. May this be the first of many!

In the last year we have completed (some twice! server deaths can be brutal) the following things you might not necessarily be aware of:

    • Investigated numerous suspicious user accounts and banned some bad doges
    • Repaired our email and support infrastructure ( support@shibes.poker, admin@shibes.poker, and technical@shibes.poker all fully operational again)
    • Caught up on all support cases
    • Setup support notifications to our cell phones (we care about you!)
    • Fixed some small bugs in the website as a result of support cases
    • Setup a development environment separate from production
    • Implemented our infrastructure with code
    • Updated our internal wiki and work flow

In the last couple months since switching to the new infrastructure we have responded to the following emergencies (at least once):
    • Breaks not working
    • Various ticketing issues
    • Knockouts not working

Finally, we are releasing the results of Sunday Tournaments over this last quarter. This will be part of a new software release of our backend. We are very excited to announce that Sunday Leader Board is Back and there will be a prize. Possibly more than one if anyone actually gives Bioluminous a run for his doge!
Sunday leaderboard can be viewed here: https://shibes.poker/sundays/

The boring technical details will be released tomorrow, but the short points are:
    • All backend code has been modernized from Python 2 to Python3
    • The backend has been enhanced with a new API service which integrates better with Mavens
    • The new backend enables us to offer real-time updates that will first be depicted with Sunday Tournaments

    With Love,
    Such Flush

Hello Shibes and Happy New Year!

We're back with a year-end update from our head developer and site admin, Such Flush! The post is also available for questions/discussion on our subreddit https://redd.it/7nbvsl and Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/PokerShibes

    Quote
    Dear Shibes,

Such Flush here looking back on another year with Poker Shibes and looking ahead to where we are going!

You may recall my last official update State of the Shibe, March 2017 Edition.

It is my duty to apologize in that I failed to deliver on the promise of more regular updates throughout the year. I had anticipated at least 1 or 2 more of these State of the Shibe posts this year. Historically, we've only done 1-2 of these a year, but I am committed to producing at least 4 State of the Shibe posts in 2018. That's my New Year's Resolution for 2018. What's yours?

It is also my duty to report on the overall state of things that were looking good last time:

    * Infrastructure - Still on the "New" infrastructure as reported in the last update, but even more of it has been automated and moved in
    * Mavens software upgrade offering Razz, Stud, HORSE and other mixed games - We've kept up with updates as they come as well, reporting and squashing bugs upstream as needed
    * User survey undertaken - We have implemented several policies and ideas based on the results of this survey
    * New Sunday Tournaments - There was a pretty decently contested official Sundays season where people won special edition PokerShibes clay poker chips (status: shipped)[/li][/list]

By the Numbers, since the last update:

    * Support: Over 400 closed tickets since 2017 May 1
    * Poker Room: Completed at least 10 sets of changes tracked by a work ticket (there were surely more adjustments untracked)
    * Operations: Responded to 6 emergency fires such as "Site is Down" with another 6 tickets of planned updates
    * Development: Closed just over 20 tickets for software and infrastructure improvements

In the last year we have completed the following things you might not necessarily be aware of:

    * Investigated numerous suspicious user accounts and banned some bad doges
    * Repaired our Bitcoin Deposit handler infrastructure
    * Handled all official support cases via support@shibes.poker
    * Most support cases being handled or at least responded to within 24 hours (if not, it was probably my fault and I am sorry)
    * Fixed some more small bugs in the frontend website as a result of support cases
    * Updated the Rewards Levels - Shibe now takes half as much rake to achieve as it did before
    * Expanded the use of our infrastructure as code and automation around our infrastructure and services
    * Expanded the use and functionality of our new backend software

The last one is a big deal and is one of the major reasons for this posting.

For at least the last 6 months we have been tracking all tournament results and hand results live, which old Shibes will remember is a huge change from our previous backend software. With the old software we were only able to run updates for rewards at best every 24 hours. Unfortunately, we were unable to use the old backend software with the new infrastructure, so rewards, according to the frontend website, have not been updated in about 9 months either. Today, we are announcing that the new backend software is officially ready for production integration and we are releasing the first integrations of the frontend website with the new backend this week.

What this means for you, the valued PokerShibes player who has participated somehow in the last year:

    * Rewards level display in profile page will be mostly live (there's still a bit of caching/delay involved, nerds feel free to ask for more specific details)
    * Player rakeback via RocketFuel generated will be applied to new rewards system and Moon Points awarded
    * PokerShibes Clay Chips will be on sale in the Moon Points store
    * Deposit bonuses will be processed, awarded, and reported on the profile page
    * Affiliate rewards will be processed, awarded, and reported on the profile page

Merry Christmas (belated) and Happy New Year!

In 2018 you can expect to see many changes in the poker room here at PokerShibes, including, but not limited to:

    * New New Sunday Tournaments and another Official Season with prizes
    * More Mixed Tables and Tournaments
    * Special Prize Tournaments and Tables
    * User-specified temporary table creation

    With Excitement,

    Such Flush

15 online players but no active tables, one table with 3 players but 2 of them are sitting out. Afaik you have been in this industry since 2-3 years ago but seems it is still hard for you to get real active players and table.
Do you have any smart plan to make your ring games full of players? It is really unfortunate for an old site like you but still struggling to find players.

I'm glad to see you guys interested in playing. We have had low activity for awhile but things are starting to pick up with the higher Dogecoin prices.

We have some active players in both EU and US evening time zones. For example, right now there are a couple ring tables at high and low buyins active, and about 15 in smaller tournaments. We've been adapting to the higher crypto prices by offering a wider range of Ring and Tournament play - including new stud and mixed games.

We are currently re-creating a new Sunday tournament schedule and will soon restart a leaderboard season. Last quarter we did a trial Sunday Tourny Leaderboard (with our new frontend /backend servers). There was good participation and we sent out prizes to the top 3 places.

As our Developer, Such Flush, mentioned in the above State of the Shibe update - we will be restarting promotions soon, including deposit bonuses for new and old players, referral campaigns and new Shibe related items in our rewards store (t-shirts coming in now, custom clay poker chips already printed up and looking nice, etc.) Right now we are releasing 100% of rake to freerolls and Guaranteed prize tournaments as a thank you to loyal players.

I hope to see you guys online checking us out. We're always looking for new ideas and freedback so please watch here for updates and please post if you have questions or comments, our subreddit and our Facebook and discord are available.

just chiming in to say that i had a couple hundred thousand dogecoin on this website and they vanished.

Well the site was almost dead for years so why letting so much dogecoins on a website which isn't very active anymore.

At the peak they had 50 users online and after that it was still open for years with just 4/5 players. Personally I never let any money left on a gambling site after playing. Especially not for years.

    BIG WINNER!

If it is true, I can say that it is completely your own fault for storing your dogecoin on a site for too long time. Why did not you withdraw it when you had the chance in the past when the site is still active? Sorry to hear that you have just lost a great amount of money due to the crazy pump of doge price today.

What a disaster, base on the current conversion it is more than $5k usd. I wonder why you decided to put that huge amount money in their platform and now the team behind the dead platform are enjoying your money.

I really hate this kind of scenario where the creators of a certain platform will just vanished easily after they can get what they want. I hope that you have learned from your mistake and never to trust your money to a non reputable platform again.

I'm not sure why they wouldn't be considered as a reputable site. When they were still running, they were trusted. They even had a lot of high-rollers back then. I personally wouldn't have qualms with trusting them in the day.

I love playing poker since I learned playing poker. I am agreeing with other people here that I will play using dogecoin like I gamble using dogecoin on a dice site before. I have also tried playing poker on acewins.io using their own token but I don't know if they are still active. I wonder if this site is also one of a kind. Pokershibes was a great site until they had withdrawal issues and changed owners. New owner, at the time, did cover all withdrawals but it took some time. The site never could regain player trust after that. Withdrawals became more difficult as time went on and I'm glad I got my DOGE out before the site finally disappeared.

Last info about Pokershibes that I can find is posted at https://www.reddit.com/r/pokershibes/comments/eqmrpp/update_something/ Post is a year old.

So I got a couple updates yesterday so I thought I would pass it along to the community. Firstly, I got a message from blak-shibe and I'm gonna relay it here:

"I'm not helping out pokershibes anymore, but I know their main server had a hard drive failure about 10-15 days ago. I was trying to help get the VM's transferred to a backup server but their current admin (suchflush) is super busy with work "

Additionally, I posted a Reddit request to remove the mods here (for the scam posts) which finally got a response as well from the poker-shibes account:

"The website owners have not taken off and we have removed the scammy spam posts (which did not have any reports).

We are currently dealing with some technical issues and will be back soon with updates here and on our official Twitter account."

I still haven't received payment, but I am much more optimistic as this is the first response I've gotten since trying to withdraw months ago.

There is actually a lot of completion in the market but I do think it's good that you guys are accepting dogecoin since most of the sites are actually using BTC of ETH , but I do think it would be good if you guys would update the site again and also make a new post in the same section since the last one was of 2017 and make it more **shiny** if I would may.
Many of the sites did shut down but you can for sure attract a lot of public attention if the advertising is done correctly.
I love playing poker since I learned playing poker. I am agreeing with other people here that I will play using dogecoin like I gamble using dogecoin on a dice site before. I have also tried playing poker on acewins.io using their own token but I don't know if they are still active. I wonder if this site is also one of a kind. Anyway, I can't access the site using mobile phone but i'll try it on desktop.

Site is down for a long time already.

Yes but at the same time people who did store coins on sites like that should have realized that you do not store your coins on a gambling site and therefore you cannot hold them accountable if the site goes down and you had coins there.

Always store your coins in a wallet , it's not hard to just download one and send.

    ..
Other than that if you guys are going to open the site again it would be good since as I see you have a lot of previous people who trust your site already.
