Here's some more detail on the validity of this organization and their cause to help Syrian people.

88.8% of each pound (or Dollar) goes directly to the Syrian people...that's a pretty high portion!

From the website: "The UK website CharityChoice reports our donation breakdown. It shows for every £1 donated, 88.8p goes directly to our beneficiaries. 0.4p is spent on admin and 10.8p is spent on raising more funds. For every £1 that we spend on fundraising, £9.53 is raised."

Is syriarelief.org the same as syrarelief.org.uk? The UK site doesn't have a pay with bitcoin button. It is also odd that the syriarelief.org site was created only yesterday, while the U.K. site has been around for years.

Good spot. It's pretty much the exact same website with the Bitcoin option added. It has less card payment options than the org.uk for some reason and zero mention of all the other donation options like bank transfers, cheques etc that the legit site has. The URL is a bit weird too. Having said all that the registrar details tick the right boxes.

That is good for all of us who love to see bitcoin as a currency accepted worldwide. If they have enabled bitcoin option for donation than i think they are also supposing there are lots of potential donators who have bitcoin nowadays.

syriarelief.org is a scam:

1. The site was created yesterday.
2. The actual Syria Relief site, syriarelief.org.uk makes no mention of syriarelief.org, nor does it mention accepting bitcoins.
3. There was no announcement anywhere by Syria Relief, except by first time posters on reddit and bitcointalk.
4. The "COMPLETE YOUR DONATION USING A CREDIT / DEBIT CARD" button does nothing.

You should lock this thread or edit it, otherwise it looks like you're involved in this scam.

And now syriarelief.org is dead but that link posted still goes through to the official site. No mention of BTC on there.

As mentioned above OP should edit his topic , if this site is a scam you haven't to publish it and asking support for them; otherwise the idea to enable Bitcoin as method of donation isn't bad but we have to see if the site is legal first

I already pay them through taxation. The next thing to come is solidarity tax to cover refugees cost.
That's enough.

Through taxation You have paid NATO operations against Iraq, Lybia and Syria, but now You will have strongly "anti NATO and anti ISIS" refugees, and that is not welcomed in mainstream media.
Too much CIA friendly salafi in EU.

Totally and completely insane as it sounds, we don't actually have much choice about who our money is being used to slaughter.
