overclock them, and when you do don't use CCC. Make sure Overdrive is disabled in CCC. Its under Performance. Once you've done that use Afterburner or trixx.

*SIGH* another one of these... CGminer, Diablominer, BFGminer or Phoenix, Use anything else and Die https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison <-A list of what people are going to get Mh/s, Go look at the 7970's Use Diablo kernal with CGminer, Drop your Memory clock to like 700 to save heat and power. Dont let the temps get above 85° or you'll start to damage the cards Try not to run the fans above 80% 7970's have BEASTLY overclocking, Play with it. Go into your registry and search for "EnableULPS" and set all vaules to 0, Your gonna see Alot of these. This will prevent certain "clocking" fuckups that happen in Crossfire mode.

I set my 7970 on 1000/600/1.0v. With these settings i think that it is more profitable than with overclocking.

I use cgminer and poclbm as recommended by cgminers author
crossfire in windows makes no difference, in linux it can reduce performance

1250/685 @ 1.245v in afterburner / trixx. (voltage aint the same on every card, so you might need too tweak it some +/-... just keep it under 1.3v) use "--shaders 2048 --intensity 14 --worksize 256 -v 1" in cgminer. and pump as much as you can untill asics hit the market

running at a high voltage kinda defeats the purpose of mining. Right now market value is likely to be cheaper.

all depends on where you live and what u pay for your power... you can run up to ~1100/685 at stock voltages tho if thats an issue, but 2x 7970`s at 300mhz extra is quite allot to miss out on

If someone else pays for the power - voltage is of no concern. Actually in that case - keep mining with the GPUs ad infinitum.

what's wrong with diakgcn kernel for 7900 series?
The CGMiner defaults ( -k poclbm -v 1 -w 64 ) actually is the fastest. I've done lots of testing with different kernels, options, and even which settings perform better at different mem speeds. I can't get any better than the default.

I can't get any better than the default. I have a 7950, And -k Diablo -v 1 256 works pretty good for me.. How much of a differance would i be looking at? Did the testing. On CGminer 2.8.7, Win7.64bit Poclbm v1 w 64 548.2MH/sec Diablo v 1 w 246 546.9MH/sec Intesity 7, Core 1050. I notice that poclbm takes Alot longer to reach its topspeed, And its easier to knock it backdown

been doing some tweaking and testing. (like usual) and seem to have hit a ceiling on the "main" gpu, wich i have the monitor on. seems if i go any higher then 1080/685 on it it just runs up to 100c++ and shuts down the pc.
running cgminer with "--shaders 1792 --intensity 15 -k poclbm -v 1 -w 64"
card #0 is running at 1180/685 @ 1.140v and getting 624mh/s running at 76c card #1 is running at 1060/685 @ 0.995v and getting 559mh/s running at 85c
closed case enviornment and single fan cards (fans at 76% and 90%)
