It's better to track and predict price on halvings , instead on xmas dates, but fine..
xmass this year probably around 500-700 USD, and with each 2nd xmass after this one the price should atleast double up (it's not only due to halvings, it's the user base
that's also increasing)

The real fun will start at blocks close to 1890000 , where block reward will be under 0.10 btc per block. Guess the fee's will be worth more than the actual block !

That is too much USD in just a yearly increased and I think in increasing population of users that has too much btc will surely increased the rate of it.

let´s necro this thread, there are some interesting guesses about bitcoin prices @christmas.

christmas 2015 was around $440

christmas 2016  ..?..

christmas 2020 ..?..

overall, the guesses for christmas 2015 were too low.

my guess was:

xmas 2015:  362

xmas 2016:  1 354

xmas 2020:  32 000

hm... still possible... i was too bearish for 2015, i hope my other guesses were also bearish

I strongly believe that the price  of bitcoin by the end of the year will reach to $1k, as we are also expecting halving in next few months which will contribute in better price of bitcoin and we will see more users into the world of bitcoins by the end of the year.

I feel that bitcoin will not touch in $1k value this is just what i feel since there is no news about bitcoin that can push the price into 1k value.
But nothing can be possible with bitcoin the adoption is fast and we heard few months ago about 20 stores in paris that i think it can push the price of bitcoin and more countries will come in the future..

I think the OP had a good surprise to see the price of bitcoin increase much more than predicted by him when this post was written last year. I think Bitcoin is in a very favorable position in the market, it is possible to notice certain stability in the range above the seventy dollars, and it seems that the uptrend is still strong.

I guess the price till Xmas 2015 will be something around $265;

and price till Xmax 2016 will be somewhere around $400;

and PRICE till Xmas 2020 would be somewhere around $1500.

All your predictions have largely failed, but actually this is something natural in this highly unpredictable altcoin world. In fact I think no one has been able to approach to the historical performance of the bitcoin or any other altcoin.

And a good example of this impossibility to foresee the bitcoin behavior occurred during the highly expected halving, to the disappointment of many.

The price has been in an uptrend for nearly 2 years now. Even if the price drops, which I find a very normal thing considering the current price, then the uptrend is still moving forward. We'll be fine as long as we are sitting above the $700 level. If we fall below that level, then it's fairly safe to say that the uptrend has taken a break. The coming weeks will be more than interesting.

I know this might souds repetitive as I say that year 2017 might be the landmark year for Bitcoin. It is true that we hear this kind of mantra every year since 2013 but seriously amount of negativity towards FIAT (Deutsche Bank and Monte dei Paschi bank problems) and people rising awareness of bitcoin is a good sign. We might see dramatic leap of adoption next year.

I think so. his prediction is wrong because now bitcoin price is almost $800. it means that twice than his prediction for this year. probably in 2015 bitcoin price in December was not too high (I forgot it anyway)

If I am not mistaken, the price of bitcoin in december 2015 its around $400 and yes its increase almost two time from before. if the price is still like this and not move up, then its hard to reach $800 in the next year. but i am sure that bitcoin price will be up in the next year.

If so the price could have reached high this year. Most of the time on years having special events big rise will be experienced. By the year 2017 if the ongoing price increase along with increased adoption steep increase can be felt rather than gradual increase in price.

Well, you mistaken just a little, just in two times mistaken. Christmas is coming and new price as 800$ is very close to be. So I think bitcoin possibly reach that point of 800$ and it's gonna be Christmas present to all users.

The Speculation is far from what bitcoin price really are, I guess this year has a big difference that the past year big difference as you can see the bitcoin price last year and the bitcoin price right now it is because more people are showing interest to use bitcoin.

This Christmas is maybe to close to reach 1000$. The price of 850$ seems more realistic to me and more then that could be possible within the first three months of the next year. But if the Bitcoin continue to rise and no big chrashes happen this could also be a nice gift for this Christmas.

This Christmas, I doubt Bitcoin will reach $1000. But last Christmas, there was a spike, so $900 is quite possible, if not probable.
