There is probably a lot of better ones by now, but back in the day 'Money As Debt' was a cool and animated documentary. Another documentary that spends the whole first half discussing money, what it is and where it comes from, is 'Bitcoin: The End of Money As We Know It'.

It was one of the first films I saw where I learned the scam of fiat money. Im not sure about the solution these guys propose (resource based economy) but it's definitely worth watching. Nonetheless, Bitcoin is an objective upgrade compared to what we haven ow.
