I agree with u about if dollar goes down it will drag all of us down, dollar is widespread all around the world. Lot of companies and people depend`s from it. Oil is still connected with dollar. So i dont believe something like that can happen to dollar fall to much. Also I think its not wrothy to save the dollar, its better to find something better like bitcoins to work on and spread it around.
