Hey, everyone reading this who can write CODE: I wanted to make a separate thread here to point out that there's a BTC0.80 bitcoin bounty (and possibly more coming) NOW AVAILABLE on a feature request for the open source Copay Wallet.

This hasn't gotten much traction yet unfortunately... but I *really* want to see it get done (about HALF this bounty so far is from me.)

The feature we NEED is MANUAL editing of miner fee (for advanced users) in addition to Copay's very cool "dynamic fee" calculation function.

You can see the BOUNTY implemented via Synapsi website here:
https://synapsi.com/questions/manual-override-dynamic-fee-in-copay-wallet-201509252351

...and description of the bug/feature needed I posted here:
https://github.com/bitpay/copay/issues/3111

Yeah, I understand there's no guarantee the Copay devs will integrate contributed code into the actual Copay Wallet, but I don't want to FORK the project to a custom version just for this.

The actual Copay Wallet *itself* really needs to have this feature IMHO.

But hopefully, at least if the code is written FOR 'em, they'll be willing to test it... and and IF it's okay, maybe it'll make it into the next version.

Thanks in advance for any/all help (and please, IF you're just a Copay USER, like me, who can't code BUT you agree with me that this is needed, if you can afford it please contribute some bitcoin to the bounty fund too!)

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Hi, Synapsi.com admin here. It looks like you once used our service, and even though we shut it down, we've recently been going through our Database backup and found out you have some funds locked in escrow for question "Manual Override Dynamic Fee in Copay wallet".

Would you be interested in getting them back?

(I assume you're the same person judging by your email and github profile). Please contact me here or via email, which I sent to your @yahoo address.

Kuddos for the honesty, that's about $30,000 by now!

Although I know nothing about Copay (and can't find the escrow address): judging by this post, it might have been community funded (by different people):
OK folks, we've got IMHO a nice bounty started off on this now:

We're actually at BTC 0.7251 bitcoin so far -- currently worth about $175

Since OP last logged in about one year ago, it may have been more useful to PM him in a hope that maybe the address linked to the forum is still active (and he has the appropriate settings).
Did @lonestar1 did that? Should we do that?!

He doesn't accept messages from newbies. I also contact his via the email he left and other sites. No reply so far. We can't unlock the funds ourselves since it was all locked in a multisig escrow address with the other key (payment password) belonging to the user and not stored with us.

I'm afraid the email he left with us might have been the one that he doesn't use very frequently if it all. I can't send him a DM due to my status, maybe someone else can?

Unfortunately, I can tell you straight away it's not 0.8 as this was funded by different people and also some refunds were issued before the site closed down. But it's still some money.
