It's time to think about how to design an easy to use Bitcoin privacy tool at privacy.bitcoin.com

I'll be brainstorming implementation ideas and taking feedback at:

https://forum.bitcoin.com/project-development/privacy-bitcoin-com-is-coming-soon-t1208.html

I'll likely have some sort of bounty for the best ideas as well.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Just joined.

I did jump at the idea of bounties. Oh, I remember good stuff some months ago when I won the bounty for an Entrepreneur regarding how to name his products. Smiley Good stuff.

I find it great that a seemingly important movement in security is open to all the community. Then again, many will object "why another forum....", hey, I just look forward to see what will be in there.

In the meantime, I share my impression that every crypto site (not general-purpose on bitcoin like this one) or service has her own idea of what is security. My mind related to the few work for bitcoins sites out there.

Anyway, best for this project and will be checking on it frequently.

I personally think that developers should finish Darkwallet project since it's Open-source and it got probably dropped now , so instead of starting new projects with same concepts we need to finish what got started .

Pretty good set of ideas right there... but isn't this basically just coin mixing?

What about Zerocoin/Zerocash?  Huh
http://zerocash-project.org/

https://twitter.com/ZerocoinProject  , It's seems like Darkwallet , just another funded but dead project . Instead of new people using shitload of money to open and run their exchange , they should probably invest in a revolutionary project like this .  But yes agreed with the idea if OP could revive Zerocoin or Darkwallet that would be great !

I don't get what kind of tools you're expecting to put on this subdomain? Wouldn't it be better to put some educational materials instead?

Roger, the irony is.. you are developing privacy tools for Bitcoin, but you promote a site where trackers are used? How do you bring those two together?

I am a big supporter of internet privacy and I do not appreciate the degree to which our financial privacy are infringed upon or our private lives. Some things needs to be private.

Example : I take my spouse out for dinner and pay with Bitcoin. If someone track my Bitcoin address and can isolate my movement, they could possibly target my house for a

burglary when I am not there. {All of this, just by monitoring my Bitcoin address} .... It may sound stupid, but it's a possibility. So we need some privacy and I appreciate your

efforts. Just start by cleaning house on the trackers on that site first.  Wink
