It's pretty vague, that article... As far as I can tell is DNotes is an altcoin, probably premised and most likely centralized. I hate altcoins almost as much as I hate promos pretending to be news.

It is not bitcoin news, just blockchain news. They are not planning to incorporate existing bitcoin blockchain at all, but to create their own instead.
Not so awesome news for bitcoin imo. Just wait for other services and companies to try to do the same in near future... Bitcoin death imminent?

Alan has connections to Nasdaq, etc. He has been in the financial industry for some time and is well respected. I've spoken to him numerous times and don't think he would put his name with or effort into something he doesn't believe would be successful. It isn't bitcoin or using the bitcoin blockchain from my understanding, but that doesn't mean it won't be profitable and or successful.
