5970 or 7970 or7950, those can get over 500 kh/s but will take a good chunk of your wallet. Do tell your budget.

You could get close to a quad 7970 for 2000 dollars. The power supply would cost as much as the motherboard though.

Your motherboard shouldnt matter too much. All the hashing is done in the video card. If you want your CPU to mine as well though, you could focus on a better CPU. But I dont think its worth it to spend extra cash on a nice cpu just for litecoin. Example: I was getting 60 khash from my 8 core AMD FX 8150.
