freezed transaction

Hello. I've made a transaction yesterday, but them my client freezed and I had to killed the bitcoin process. However, the transaction remains "unfonfirmed" in my transaction list and bitcoins are subtracted from my balance. How to fix it?

try deleting the blockchain files and re-downloading. tedious, but should fix that.

I've copied the walled.dat and addr.dat to another computer and re-run bitcoin client, but it is still not working. I've downloaded blockchain from http://eu1.bitcoincharts.com/blockchain yesterday on this computer, but the transaction is still freezed.

Are you running the most recent version of the client?

Yes, I'm running on v0.7.1.0-geb49457-beta. I've compiled it yesterday.

Delete addr.dat and rescan.

Looks like the unconfirmed transaction just showed up at blockchain.info about 5 minutes ago or so:

Whoever you sent it to should see it now.  It should get some confirmations as soon as it gets included in a block.

Delete addr.dat and rescan.

> mv ~/.bitcoin/addr.dat ~/.bitcoin/addr1.dat
> bitcoin-qt -rescan
....

10 active connection to the network, but transaction still remains unconfirmed. New addr.dat was not created in the folder.

EDIT: Ok, I see the transaction in the blockchain, so it seem to be OK now. Thanks for help again.

Keep your wallet.dat, delete everything else in the folder... replace wallet.dat and start bitcoin-qt.... enjoy your wait....


Once it downloads make a backup of the entire directory so you have a starting point if it happens again.
