CPU Mining? My GPU sucks.

I tried getting the guiminer but it says my GPU doesn't support openCL, so I have to use my CPU.  I'm just using my old clunker so I'm scared to try.  Is it recommended that I avoid mining in this case?

I've been rather lost since I started trying out Bitcoins.  I don't have a credit card or a bank so I can't get them the conventional way and due to the limited population supporting them, it's hard to find people who would pay me in bitcoins for any services I would offer.  Most people that would pay for my services, would have no idea what bitcoins are. 

I kind of wish that more online jobs would offer bitcoins as a payment option.

You are right - it cannot possibly be profitable.  You'll spend $5 for electricity in a month, and have only $0.20 worth of BTC to show for it.  NOT worth it in any sense of the word.

What about BitInstant?  No credit card or bank required.  Just use cash.

You will use much more in electricity and wear-and-tear on your machine than you will make mining on a normal cpu.

You can try mining for litecoins. It's not as profitable but it is cpu mining specific.

What GPU you have anyway? If you don't know, use this tool. Than check this list for your GPU or CPU relevant data.

You will be very lucky to generate 0.01BTC by CPU mining

Now even LTC mining is better done on a GPU.  If you have to mine on a CPU, LTC is still the way to go, but CPU mining is really just not worth it.

Send some cash in, with some info, In the lettermail, And they will send you bitcoins.

no he's right i figured out there was a place that says "how it works" lol and yea i you take cash to somewhere like a bank or walmart/albertsons i guess for a moneygram, but money gram charges for the transfer. so its not really cash deposit.
