Ugh please use any other source than sprouts, its a very old fork with very big problems, no leveldb etc..
Hmm, what are the very big problems, beside no leveldb? Thanks.  A few RPC (batch RPC) calls are missing and have to be added, it has some issues with staking (without going too much into detail) and the missing leveldb integration is quite a big deal as with staking the wallet grows and grows and is unusable at some point (you'll have to to repairwallet a lot of times and transaction will get rejected). Use Crave's Source and disable masternodes if you need a good PoS source to fork off from. |

I smell trojan.
The source code will be made public, you shouldn't worry about that. Where is the source? Any PoW? I may add some PoW in, possibly 12 million PoW released over a few years, with 30 million ICO. Nothing is in cement yet, I still need to discuss it with a couple individuals before I make any decisions. The source will be released a week or so before the launch. Sprouts Source code has been popular lately, if you have not picked one yet. PoW & PoS with a 2½ minute block time. https://github.com/sproutcoin/sprouts FYI: Couple of Tips before going live, (You probably already know this) 1. Have the website ready 2. Have the Wallets ready for Windows, Linux, & Mac 3. Have a Working Block explorer 4. If PoW made sure the Pool will be active soon after Launch, if not at Launch 5. Have the source code on github I opted for Colossus Coin, the coin is already 95% complete. I just gotta get some seed nodes hardcoded in. I'm trying to use my army of raspberry pi 2's to host the seed nodes, but the dependencies are a little different. If anyone has experience with using RPi2's for seednodes send me a PM  Thanks for tips! |

Not really, It's better for marketing to have some wiggle room and to be able to get feedback. I also wanted to discuss things like whether or not to add in any POW. It seems like a lot of people want to see some POW in, so I'm likely going to make ~25% of the coin supply minted through POW. |

Better launch it on 4/20 and fall the a day later I will likely be releasing something on 4-21, there will be a few projects I should have completed by then, one of which I will release. So I think debuting on 4-19 would be best if I'm releasing something on 4-21. I don't want to launch that day because it's notorious for being a dump day, so I would like to keep my coin strong through 4-20 |

I'd have to be pretty inept to miss a launch date ~6 months away I want to lay a nice foundation of work before it launches, I'm sure the community will appreciate it. April will be here before we all know it. |
