creating a new currency...
should it be pow ? or pow/pos ?
scrypt or sha256?
premine? instamine? fastmine?
my goal is to get rich quick...lets be honest here.
looking at coinmarketcap.com:
bitcoin is at $4.9billion
litecoin is at $138million
most altcoins i have read about seem to be litecoin clones.
reading this devtome article:
http://www.devtome.com/doku.php?id=a_massive_investigation_of_instamines_and_fastmines_for_the_top_alt_coinslitecoin is a scrypt based algorithm and pow(proof of work) only
litecoin did instamine in the first 96 hours, but that instamine is only 1% of coin total in existence
the devtome article rates litecoin as acceptable to investors because of the low percentage of instamine to total
although i want to get rich quick (being honest), i want my investors in the new currency to be happy too...
so following the success of litecoin, i will instamine upfront, but only 1% of my total coins.
further, my new coin will be scrypt based and pow only...hoping the litecoin miners will approve.
an innovation in tekcoin looks good for miners: never cuts its block subsidy in half...hmmm, maybe i will do that.
dogecoin, marketcap $12million, has taken off the 100billion coin cap, with no cap, the party never ends? maybe i will do that too.
dogecoin also instamined, but only 1% of total coins.
since i want to get really really rich quick, i looked at the global money supply:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Money_supplythis article shows the usa m2 money supply, "the broadest measure of money supply" was USD$10.5trillion or
$10,500,000,000,000 dollars.
i want my new currency to be a viable alternative to the fiat currency of central banks, so i need to instamine KAL10trillion
or 10trillion kalbon coins...if my instamine is just 1% of total, then my "cap" (if i choose not to follow the dogecoin model)
will be 100x the KAL10trillion or KAL1quadrillion.
quadrillion sounds like a huge impossible number but further research at:
http://www.dtcc.com/annuals/2014/index.phpshows they processed $1.6quadrillion dollars in securities transactions in 2014 alone!wow!!!
so im going to instamine KAL10trillion coins, hoping the world population will replace the fiat currency they carry now into my new cryptocurrency.
but how do i convince these people to trade dollar, pound, yen, euro and yuan into my coin?
when even the huge chinese economy is having difficulty convincing the world to let them be a reserve currency?

well markets or exchanges, like the $5trillion dollar a day global foreign exchange market, have specialists involved in currency trading.
these specialists watch market activity and inject money into the market when trading is low and draw out money from the market when trading is high to try to stabilize the exchange rate of currencies they watch.
pretty technical, but simply put, if i want the kalbon coin to trade at the exchange rate of KAL1.00 = USD$1.00, then i need to watch the trading activity in the market. if i see the exchange rate falling below 1:1 dollar parity, then i inject more USD into buying KAL, if i see the exchange rate rising above 1:1 dollar parity then i need to sell KAL for USD to lower the rate and create stability.
but how do i get people to use KAL in everyday transactions like ordering a pizza?
well the pizza shop owner sees he can trade KAL for USD and he says ok to customers offering KAL for a slice!
but what about all these innovative uses of the blockchain, the technology behind cryptrocurrency, that has the fiat currency people so excited?
https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/nine-top-global-banks-pool-resources-fund-r3-develop-digital-currency-standards-1442352243http://r3cev.comwell the banks and exchanges spend alot of money on so-called "back office" operations to process ur checking and credit card and trading transactions now...with the blockchain and crypto, these "trusted systems" can be eliminated and the cost of your bank and brokerage house doing business will go way down. but dont expect a reduction of fees to you, because profits will go way up if consumer prices stay the same.
creating a new currency sounds like a very good idea, if you want to get rich quick, like me.
