The problem with most elections is that its very easy to tell who will win. So the odds of the winner are great and the payout is low. Sometimes its better betting on someone who you don't think is going to win and you have a great risk reward ratio.

Are you talking about exit poll results? if yes the that is correct. They can't predict always correct so if you bet some small amount on opposite side of exit poll results then you may get bigger profits if they win because exit pole result will not be always correct so you still have a chance to make bigger profits. It is same like sports betting but need to wait for long time to see the results and also not happens quire frequent.

During the voting period, you can get better information of the election results. However, the odds will be smaller as the results is quite clear. Even if you win, you win small.

Yes, what other polls are there. Pretty much most of the pre-polls are very similar results. UNLESS there is some very negative news discovered by a candidate.

In Canada, everybody knew Trudeau would win.

Not quite, a lot of money went to Harper bets and Mulcair was leading for quite some time till that Hijab threw him off the rails and let the liberals squeeze in down the middle ground.

Is there a place to bet for Hillary Clinton for 2016 US president. I think it is a pretty safe bet if you ask me.

Do you think Hillary Clinton will win? If everybody thinks like that, then she might win, and even if you bet her win, you will not get too much.

I think now is the time to bet for her. There are a lot of candidates still, so the odds should be OK I think.

It depends it's not yet set up because the Primaries need to bet on first, unless you meant the primary winner.
Once they decide the candidate who will run for the Democrats then their will be bets on the US president between the Republican candidate and democrat one.

I think she will win the primaries and than the president seat, so it doesn't really matter for what I bet Wink

You are so confident. Do you have a site to place your bet? We shall know the results in a year's time.

There are a lot of elections in the world
Limiting it to the US would be no fun some interesting elections such as Greek and Latin American elections, Japan has one upcoming last I recall and that will involve TPP deals.
Either way your right it would be fun to try a bunch of different ones.

yep, sounds easy but last Presidential elections the current Vice President is not the peoples choice and behind on surveys, but when election results we're out, he became the Vice President. This only shows surveys conducted before elections are not really reliable because probably they we're paid to condition the mind of people of who to vote. Anyway as the saying goes, it ain't over till the fat lady sings  Grin

Haha if you know who's gonna win where is the fun in there? and not all surveys are accurate, when a surveys says that Poe is the highest possible candidate to win, then just like you said, you will never know until it is over because the binay's are giving let's say under the table for anyone who's gonna vote him that is when the table turns right?
