vertoe you mean the dev that showed up later at cache, pumped it dumped it then basically dropped a nuclear bomb on it?
http://cacheco.in/ 502 Bad Gateway

doge is primed for a run up, so my best $million dolla Alt to get hot pick.

ltc outta get pumped to $500M, once the BTC whales look for insurance but looks like 2017 before they move to ltc.

the ETH pump back to $1 is a bit of a surprise, and ETH might be #3 after BTC, LTC ... ripple needs to be taken out back and put out of it's misery ... these premine coins are not taking off ... so XRP, STELLAR, NEU, Byte are no volume toxic waste.

DASH is game for a whale dump and lots of drama.

But these toxic waste ones (i agree they are waste btw) are the ones that can go really wild and the slightest bit of news, whether real or fake.

DASH is game for a whale dump and lots of drama.

If 15 of the 3500 masternodes  (just 0.4%) were liquidated, it would crash the Dash price all the way down to 0.0001.

I can't wait for the DashHole drama when that happens.

The fact it hasn't yet, despite the enormous penalty for not being among the first 15 to panic and GTFO, indicates all masternodes are held by whales and True Believers.

It's really cute how they honestly(?) believe Duffield can (magically?) create an Ethereum competitor all on his own and in secret.

I'm tooting my own horn, but my family business started smoked a lot of crypto bacon OTC and this year. 2014 has been a good year for crossing the chasm. 2015 will most likely be well into mainstream territory.

monero, and it seems that shadowcash is doing well, still pretty new though, then you have the usual doge and litecoin
but i don't see one really shining over another, in my case i'm waiting for more energy efficient coin like burst, but with different algo maybe

I'd say there are two platforms that could in the future become something of worth

ETH: Because of its potential to bring crypto to regular business

And

VNL: Because it is working on making crypto transfer instant and competent for use as a currency.

How does eth cooperate with businesses more than bitcoin does?

and emunie has achieved instant transactions.

However since eth is a fairly new crypto there is a lot of buzz around that at the moment. So in a way you could call that hot at the moment.

Tech wise Boolberry is one of the most advanced CryptoNote coins. It is also ahead in usability because of its GUI and has a pruning solution to prevent blockchain bloat. Its distribution curve is perfect for widespread adoption.

However not many people have heard about it. That may explain why the price is still so low.

Emunie has created instant locked transactions, but VNL has created instant and respendable transactions.  Not the same.  One just shows that there has been a confirmation and locks it so it can't be respent,  the other is instantly transferred.

ETH allows businesses to incorporate block chain tech in whatever fashion suits them.

If your not actively using the technology behind your crypto investment,

The hottest coin is the coin with

- strong focus on research and development
- has a publicly known dev team, capable of fixing problems when necessary and giving reliable feedback and can present a trustwearthy roadmap
- has a community that supports that coin well
- is so feared by lower ranked competition that it is attacked and ridiculed on a daily basis, even in threads that are not specificly about that coin

I will leave it for the OP to find out which coin i'm talking about, we all have to do our own homework when it comes to investing in cryptocurrency......

The hottest altcoin in term of hashing power is Ethereum. It has 500GH/s hashing power, equivalent to 25,000 AMD 280X. That is more than any other coins.

I would bet on Magi (XMG). High community activities. Dev always working and giving feedback and new features. Also, its CPU friendly and mineable by normal people.
