So after reading this article and especially the ending: One thing is for certain: having made Bitcoin less of a security worry, transparency will now be key in attracting users to new models, placing control of funds and fees in an upfront way in their own hands. I'm wondering what's stopping people from using bitcoin? And now I'm talking about people who already aware of bitcoin and how it works but still not using it. The price is now pretty much stable for more then a year, security issues are out of the question - so why we can't see in 2015 more companies switching to it, especially considering the unstable condition of moden economy? 99% of the people don`t use bitcoin because they don`t understand it.That`s the main reason. People who understand bitcoin,don`t use it because they don`t know how to earn btc and where and for what to spend it.That` just my theory. |

Yeah, well, people don't realise the potential that bitcoin has. They think that it is just another online currency like liberty reserve that is used by criminals and doomed to collapse. While this is, not the truth at all. |

Why people are not using the bitcoin is because they are scared that the bitcoin collapse and if that happen they will lose a lot of money.
They do not want to take the risk for using them, I can partly understand them for a bit.
Yeah they are scared of price fluctuations as they feel that they will loos all their money in long run if they invest in it, and that is the reason they are not using it. A business expert knows when and where to invest. Be so smart in finding out the right time and situation and place to invest in to see a good turn over to what you have invested. Some people are clever you know and there are stupid peopel and the stupid ones are investing right now into the bitcoin i can tell you one thing and that is that
the bitcoin is not worth to the world anymore the price will only drop allot after the halving for sure.

In my opinion people masses are not using BTC because of the technicality, People love doing things simply "success of Creditcards is an evidence of that", BTC would be more interactive, also confirmations etc... would make it a more complicated and time-taking process. BTC is very convenient for country to another country transactions IMO but not for buying stuff at the mall etc. |

Davis196 i agree with you,its not you're theory,it is also mine theory too  People are afraid of something they dont know,it was like this for a thousands of years. Why it would change now? people dont know bitcoin well,it is something new,so they dont get involved with it.It is scary for them to loose money because they have deposited on some mystery btc wallet hahaha. |

Bitcoin do has it's own value but let's not remove the fact that bitcoin is base in USD value where USD is our national currency and it's widely used all over the world. So if bitcoin is not yet accepted then we have a chance to convert it to USD and use that currency for awhile. |

Just like in singapore and i think some people are attracting it because they can also savings and gain benefits in bitcoin price increase.. But they are still stopping bitcoin because many bad company are scam. like investing site like hashocean they believe before that hashocean is trusted but in few months in their balance gone or the site is down never comeback.. |

Some may think of it as unsafe due to hacking. Well people don't wanna lose their money. The fact that it is new currency and illegal in some countries might be some of the reasons. And also most of them dont believe that it can be used to be a real money just need to convert it to fiat or maybe not interested . Just like my friend after i've learned about bitcoin I tried to introduce it to him also and he gets interested to it but after a few days he said he did not get or understand everything with bitcoin but I think he is not truly interested so he ignored it . |

yeah exactly which we call Insecurity: It may be popular among the people but not trust worthy because people are still afraid what if bitcoin is simply scam like many others in internet. Most of the internet users are still unaware of bitcoin because bitcoin is not creating any kind of awareness programs. There is absence of promotional events in bitcoin which can make it more popular among the people, if it is promoted on higher level then it will create an awareness among the people. |
