What's stopping people from using bitcoin?

So after reading this article and especially the ending:

One thing is for certain: having made Bitcoin less of a security worry, transparency will now be key in attracting users to new models, placing control of funds and fees in an upfront way in their own hands.

I'm wondering what's stopping people from using bitcoin?

And now I'm talking about people who already aware of bitcoin and how it works but still not using it.

The price is now pretty much stable for more then a year, security issues are out of the question - so why we can't see in 2015 more companies switching to it, especially considering the unstable condition of moden economy?

99% of the people don`t use bitcoin because they don`t understand it.That`s the main reason.

People who understand bitcoin,don`t use it because they don`t know how to earn btc and where

and for what to spend it.That` just my theory.

There are many people who are aware about it but don't want to invest their money into it as they have fear of loosing their money in something that they really don't know.

if a person is aware of bitcoin and know about bitocin. and still he is afraid to invest in bitocin. so its mean that he has no trust on bitcoin. and actually he do not know any thing about bitcoin.

come on dude,if that's the case,they just aware of their money,no one could predict the future,anything could be happening,seems they still in fear so not worthy to invest cause the fear could become a trouble in the future,and bitcoin is not just about investing

The problem that people are facing is lack of knowledge about how bitcoin works. They think that it has been tied to illegal activities and I think that they are missing a wonderful opportunity in their life.

to me the only reason which stop people from using bitcoin is that it is illegal in our country and no one can openly use bitcoin. because it is against the law.

there is a video title "what is bitcoin" at youtube and i think it have everything one need to know to get what is bitcoin and it isnot any rocket science from your childhood you learn how to use money and bitcoin is money

According to me first, is our country government and next some casinos. Yes in my homeland Bitcoin is illegal currency we can not use this directly. And nowadays all casino's are creating their own currencies. So now count of the Bitcoin users is going down.

I think bitcoin video can help only for those who illeterate in computer to know what is bitcoin but how about people are not always online?
So i think it may help if they comercial bitcoin to tV..
So that bitcoin will be more impressions and you can get some or more bitcoin users..
Honestly this is not the only reason why people are not using bitcoin or stop using bitcoin they are just afraid about scam. because they heard many people are scam online..

Most of the time people are not using or stopping using bitcoin simply because in some countries it is not accepted to use it and also there are country that is keeping. And holding a bitcoin is illegal and some other people just ignored it because they don't understand what is bitcoin .

That kind of people is lazy. I can't imagine those people that just stopped using bitcoin because they didn't understand even the basics of bitcoin. I can't considered that as big deal or big reason for people to stop using bitcoin.

Just a little push more to study and understand what bitcoin really is will make them to get back on their bitcoin journey.

most people only knows that bitcoin is just another currency and can only be used online w/out knowing that bitcoin already exist and already have it own value, more awareness and more info will attract them to invest and place their money in, i will think that another year or two this currency will more popular,.

Yeah, well, people don't realise the potential that bitcoin has. They think that it is just another online currency like liberty reserve that is used by criminals and doomed to collapse.

While this is, not the truth at all.

To be honest, way back in early 2014, I never really saw the potention that bitcoin has. Infact, you could say that I lost hope since I saw the dramatic price drop from back then. I nearly didn't even give a single thought of ever going to lookup at bitcoin again but that was then. I trust bitcoin now because it's never been healthier.

I'm currently in vacation in Zimbabwe; its a developing country and it doesnt seem that anyone i come across would know about Bitcoin, not even the tour guides. It appears most people are too focused on their countries economics and politics to worry about accepting a new currency into the system. Since they aren't to sure about Bitcoin; they would want any more trouble than they have when they are already suffering with a greatly devalued currency.

well then nothing stops them, they just decide not to use it according to you, though there are some cases when people dont use it because it is banned by the governments and they cannot do that

Yes and that is what is needed to be changed. If that attitude will be passed on to different people then its going to get harder to pursue them to join us. We need more people to get hooked in bitcoin. Its popularity will have an impact in the future.
