What's stopping people from using bitcoin?

I think as long as people can't see  who is doing what behind the scenes of coding they wont trust while only the new generation aware of ups and downs of coding get involved as soon as they find out about something specially bitcoin.

I think for many people, they think there is a lot of mambo-jumbo and it seems very complicated for them. I feel they find it way too advance and nerdy, but once they start getting to understand what it is and how it works, I firmly believe they can benefit greatly from its usage.

I've always seen a lot of people dont trust you if you talk about the benefits of something like bitcoin when they come to know it is something online.
They feel it is not possible to have so many benefits with a currency that is used online, they need proves in practical world and they are too lazy themselves to have a look at what bitcoin actually is and what it can be in the future.

A lack of knowledge about even the existence of Bitcoin keeps a majority of consumers away. For the rest of us - there are some who know but don't bother simply because it's more effort to buy Bitcoins and then spend them than just use your credit card to buy whatever you want to buy. 

That was the one of the main reason , they don't have enough knowledge about bitcoin and they don't even know what is it . Some people stopped to use it and the other didn't want to use it ever because of losing their interests from investimg on bitcoin people don't want to buy bitcoin or they don't know how to get a decent earning .

I think people are holding off on using bitcoin because it's not mainstream knowledge and other things are later. Most popular people use or buy is when it's new and hot and everyone is using it. Look at cell phones, once more people started using it a lot of people adapted to that as well. I think that's what bitcoin needs. It's slowly going into the world, some people know about it but because you can't pay with it everywhere they don't want to waste their time on it.

hmm from some sense it seems to be correct as more people are really serious about everything mostly nerds and they start criticizing it and spread wrong senses to other which can be the reason people are stopping from using bitcoin!

People having no interest in technology would never bother to use bitcoin until it comes to the practical world and gets adopted by resources people use to buy things or groceries because right now they dont feel to use anything else except their home currency.

You are right and those people does not want to risk their money using bitcoins, if you are not a risk taker you will complain easily when the value of bitcoin you are holding will decrease and that would be the possibility to happen for people who does not really know the nature of bitcoin.

There are some people who think that bitcoin is a illegal coin as it is used by criminals to buy drugs or other illegal material as the media had shown it to them that way.
And there are some people who like bitcoin just because the price of it is not stable because they can earn profit from it by trading it and some people dont like it because it is not stable because they are not traders.

well people are just stopping because of it. And the reason is that they are really lack of knowledge about bitcoin and they don't know how to use it for real. But if they are just going to be educated with bitcoin they are going to adopt it and they are going to start using it for real.

But investors are attractedd by the high volatility of Bitcoin.  That is why there are lots of investors lurking around Bitcoin.  To take advantage of that volatily of bitcoin and take profit.  I think it is pure ignorance and self interest that stopping people from using Bitcoin.

It's not a good derivation. Because I'm sure everyone will be happy if the price is higher, because the bitcoin is sure they will benefit. Two things. It's very unstable which means for business that hold it from transactions it's risky.  Still pretty complex to use  different types of wallets etc.
