I'm kind of new and I don't know whether it's easier getting litecoins as apposed to bitcoins.  But if I do try litcoins, I'd like to know if you can exchange them.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

It's alot easier buying bitcoins with cash, there arn't alot of places that'll do litecoin directly.

@Owendarto: I believe that making a question that has nothing do to with the topic isn't nice, but anyway I will answer:

Litecoins is another crypto-currency, but it uses the Scrypt method instead of SHA256, which means that it's a bit harder for mining and CPU mining was worth at the start with low difficulty.
