I just deposited 50btc into btcjam to repay 2 loans and to make 2 early payments on my long term loan.
besides running into errors on the site saying "were sorry something went wrong"
I noticed my credit score has dropped from verified 8    to verified 4 Huh  I've paid all of my loans back early and have never had a late payment.

with all the unverified tor using scammers on that site, why would punish someone who actively seeks loans and pays them back without delay?

if they are going to drop the score of someone with a good rep  and is verified.  someone that people trust giving loans to.  I'll just stop using their site.

good luck getting people to loan to all the unverified tor users....youre asking for your system to fail

My credit rating has dropped from 9/10 (everything verified except facebook which I do not have nor use).
I spoke to BTCJam about this and this is due to outstanding loans - I have 3 outstanding and it takes this into consideration which is fair enough, do you have any loans still outstanding?
If you have paid them all off and it is still 4/10 there is clearly something wrong.

I've had the same problem ever since I got final verification on my credit score rating.

I went from an 8 to a 4, even though I have linked and verified everything (phone numbers, facebook, id, etc).  it's been three weeks now, and I still haven't gotten a response (I've emailed them once a week, hoping for an update).

I actually just posted to their feedback widget this morning.

Hope someone gets on this, and soon.

Lurk, once your loans are paid off I am sure the credit rating will be resorted to what it should be - at least this is what BTCJam told me when I asked.
It basically accounts for current debt and adjusts the score accordingly - like a "real" credit rating - the more debt you have the less you are eligible to borrow.

I finally got a response! (Funny how that worked...)

Quote
Your credit rating will get back to "normal" when your have paid more than you currently have in active loans, this is a normal process to reflect the fact you have active loans.

Maybe I missed that explanation somewhere in their site, but it's new to me.  Ah well, at least now it makes a little more sense.

yes, I finally got a p.m. earlier asking if it was fixed. I'm still having the same issue...i can browse the listings but i cannot view my loans....activate a loan...or make payments on my loans.
I've done all i can to try and build a solid rep, the loans i was requesting were kind of time sensitive and would have made me quite a few coins. I wanted to pay off the 3 loans i currently had active.

the lack of support has left a bad taste in my mouth. My loan payments are going to be late...tarnishing my rep.
knowing now that the site can freeze all of my actions.....they can freeze my account for any reason....or its broken kind of worries me about using it in the future

Think he should take the late pay off if you get it, your declaring here there is a problem. If they hit you score for loans out should loans paid not improve it? I mean that seems only fair.

im sure hell fix everything....i have just been trying so hard to keep up on my loans and repay them quickly.
sometimes when i need a loan  it is very time sensitive i worked my way around it this time....but just makes me worry that ill run into this problem in the future and possibly cost me money  instead of make a profit.   because of a malfunction.

I just noticed that now more than 50% of my loan is repaid (5 of 9 payments), it looks like my credit score went back up to 10.

mine went back up too...tulkas said it helps show people you have a lot of loans out and you are more of a risk.  which i can understand I guess.  no biggie everything worked out in the long run.....even though tulkas flagged me as a scammer and denied me access to parts of the site.....he removed the flag when he saw i was repaying and everything is fine now.   tulkas is a good guy, he was just taking precautions.
