... and they plan to release a new Star Wars film in 2015. Thoughts?

Disney will successfully reap any ounce of entertainment that can be possible out of the legacy of true directors and filmmakers.

I think there is now hope some decent movies. Remember, Disney also owns Pixar and Marvel. Both have had some amazing movies under Disney.

Does that make Disney the Wal-Mart of the entertainment industry?

It will be interesting to see what the new movies will be like without Lucas' post-production tinkerings!

Star Wars: The New Friendship Alliance. Directed by M. Night Shyamlan with casting by the hobo we found under the bridge.

They might as well have sold out to 4kids TV.

High prices, great films*

*movies are not actually great, by high prices we mean frickin high, cause we dumped money into this shit like it was a hooker, and then we sold the hooker, and bought her back, just to throw more money on it. This has no actual entertainment value and is pointless to watch, yet we know millions of you idiots will waste your money on it. We will also sue the shit out of anyone who gets this off of any torrent site, from a friend, or a synopsis from Flixster, IMDb, or via ESP. We release ourselves from all liability so suck it and we hope you die because by seeing this movie, you bequeath your entire estate to us. Enjoy the fucking movie.

This. Without Lucas fucking things up, Disney-LucasFilms should be able to finally put out quality product again.

The next Kingdom Hearts game should be interesting, too. I predict a lightsaber-keyblade battle against Loki.

On the downside, Disney's IP lawyers are full-blooded sharks with lasers for eyes, and "fair use" is not in their vocabulary. Sad

They're as bad as Warner Bros. And the MPAA and RIAA Sad

+1

If the Pixar studio could be in charge of a new Star Wars movie, the result might be cool.

Given the 3 most recent films of the series, I say this is a good thing.

Get Lucas as far away as possible from the franchise.

This.

Just don't let me see Mickey Mouse anywhere near it, I might get upset.

I'm hopeful that the next Star Wars movie will be better than the prequels, at least. I liked KotOR II a lot (didn't play the first one yet). The Star Wars universe has potential.
