Well, five packages went out today, and the Owl Cookie Jar doodle was in one of them. One of the packages was a special doodle for Lauda, and it wasn't the Owl Cookie Jar. That leaves only four packages that it could be inside. It's a short list of names. (Buckrodgers, you're on it.)

If the Owl Cookie Jar doodle doesn't surface in the next two weeks, then I'll reach out to the package recipients, if you'd like.

Luckily, I did remember to make hi-res scans of all 50 encyclopedia mini-doodles. Those autographs mini-doodles will make up their own little chapter in the Bitcoin Penny™ Doodles Book: Senseless Scribbles of a Mad Coinmaker.

Hopefully this doesn't turn out like a trash quality item like the soft cover Encyclopedia that was released this year. Take your time with this project. I'll probably be very interested once I know the price, quantity and other specifications.

Actually, I was joking about the book. Please don't get me wrong. I'd absolutely LOVE to print one, and I even started planning the lay-out (in my mind) several months ago. Unfortunately, I can't think of how I might sell enough of them to break even with the publishing costs.

I've never published a book (or a collection of doodles), so maybe I'm totally wrong about the perceived publishing costs vs public interest.

Perhaps I'll make it my resolution for the New Year of 2017 to look into this "doodle book" as a viable project. There's got to be a way to make it worth printing. (And I'm always up for suggestions!)

In fact, I'll likely start a new thread dedicated to crowdsourcing ideas about the book, from collectibility (a limited number) to contents (your favorite doodles) --whatever people think might be fun. After all, this should be a fun project for everyone.

I'll definitely try to make this a quality print, and I'll ask for plenty of input from the community to make it so.

However, I'm not sure that a book of silly doodles justifies a museum quality printing. On the other hand, the people get what the people want. If the people want hardback, full color (for the very few colored doodles), glossy pages, and a limited printing of only XX numbered/signed books, then that's what I'll do. (I could even have a doodle tutorial in the back -- "Learn to doodle in 87 easy steps!" LOL)

This is going to be fun.

Colored doodles???
I must have been sleeping..... do tell.......

Well, not so much "colored" as sometimes drawn with blue ink instead of the usual black. Of course, that's solved with a simple asterisk and a footnote stating that the original was drawn in blue ink.

But then, there's one of my favorites, which is colored multi-media...



I couldn't print a book of doodles without including my favorite Dogemon doodle, and it can't be printed in black-and-white, so I'll either need to pay a ton extra for all pages to be color, or simply add the Dogemon doodle to the cover (in full color).

Umm...yes. Dogemon on the back cover would solve the problem. Lots of money saved.
