For those that are trying to hit websites that offer free bitcoin or those that finally made a decent exchange for a service or a product, so now you got bitcoin in the bank! Did you spend it? Saving it? Flaunting it? Gambling it? What are you doing with your hard earned bitcoin?

I gave mine to help people in Japan after the tsunami. It's always great to see that after disasters, members of the Bitcoin community step up to help.

First BitCoin! I'm only 0.2 away from my first. I'd probably save it though, keep it forever as a keepsafe.

I can tell you what I did with my first LiteCoin though...well it's still sitting in my wallet waiting for some services to crop up.

Laugh if you must but I earned my first couple of bitcoins and then (thinking I had my backups sorted) replaced my OS and destroyed my wallet in the process ....  Embarrassed

Lesson learned though - I've now got online/offline/onsite/offsite copies of everything ...

(tip for n00bs like me - once you've finished laughing at me, make sure you're 100% backed up)

Omg I did absolutely same thing, except that I did not care for bitcoin at that time, more knowledge came later  Undecided
Then when I got my next one first one I exchanged it on mtgox  Grin

Always a possibility (wallet is backed up off-line). I'd be more upset over losing a ~$600.00 smartphone than for a single bitcoin.   Wink

Still hoarding it in my wallet Tongue. I look at its blockchain every once in a while for amusement, trying to figure out how the magic happens.

I still have my first bitcoin to this day.  I started out mining via BitcoinPlus, then I found out about BitMinter.  From there, I kept plugging away until I got my first full btc.  I also took advantage of multiple faucets and as a result have over 5 btc.  I'm still saving it up though.  Smiley
