Sweden used to have dreams of empire and had some very fierce warlord kings but it was too costly both in lives and funds so they gave up on that and took the much more sensible and profitable course, manufacturing weapons for other peoples´wars.
First humankind used weapons, then economics. Now it uses culture it seems, just look what happens in Europe. They had super good ore in their fighting days which meant excellent artillery and Bofors is still top of the range I guess. The main reason that The Germans occupied Norway in WW2 was to secure year-round ore transports from North Sweden which were vital for them.

As for Sweden joining NATO if that happens it´ll probably be mostly for recycling purposes. Dumpsters at the EU and UN are full to the brink and then some and the conveyor belts backed up for miles so that leaves NATo as their main option for unusable politicians that are past the expiry date. Also, just about anybody can be at the top of that braindead organization. The top brain boxes are a Dane and a Norwegian, not because they have a clue about military matters and strategy I guess.

Every country that has access to nuclear weapons automatically becomes a potential target of Russian nuclear fist. This move is not smart, very not smart. They would better rely on the USA nuclear retribution program than on their own weapon.

The Poles are not very bright. Same with the Balts (Lithuanians, Latvians.etc) as well. That is why they are cleaning the toilets in Germany and the United Kingdom, and still bragging about their EU membership. Russia don't need to do anything. Soon Poland will be swamped with Muslim immigrants from Iraq and Pakistan.

Probably USA again but it won't be decisive. It will be counted as very big crash for human history so even winners will not gain that much of a thing. Wait and see.

I don't think that this war will decide who will win or not, I think this war will decide the destiny of the Muslims.
As you can see, we all know that ISIS is created by CIA and MOSSAD. CIA trained the solders and MOSSAD give them an instructions. It is very obviously that this group is trained and act professionally! But, what is the background of this war? - The victims should be the Muslims... but why?
Because, they were guided blindly by some guy who tells them that if they die in the war for their people that they will go to Heaven? - Bullshit! There isn't such a thing, but unfortunately this group is brain washed and the only way to stop this war be if we destroy there leaders.
So, we are not in war only with ISIS, but also CIA and MOSSAD!

First of all, we need to know which are the sides taking part in the World War III. It can be between the US and China, it can be US vs Russia, it can be US vs DPRK and so on. The Americans might be able to defeat weaker nations such as Iran and DPRK. But against China and Russia, I am not sure whether they will be able to achieve a conclusive victory.

Yes even I have similar thoughts but let's hope ww3 should not begin because whoever wins but the target and victims will be ordinary civilians like us let's hope for peace and unity.

The USD will survive as long as the OPEC bloc (perhaps with the exception of Iran) continues to use the United States Dollar as the official currency for crude oil trading. The other options are not very safe. The Russian Ruble is notoriously volatile, and the Chinese Yuan is heavily vulnerable to government manipulations.

China just needs to ask to pay the debt to change oil money from dollar to yuan. If the world comes closer to WW3 Japan may recall Little Boy and Fat Man and ask for the payment too. 40% of the debt is owned by these two countries.

Budget: $601 billion Active frontline personnel: 1,400,000 Tanks: 8,848 Total aircraft: 13,892 Submarines: 72 Despite sequestration and other spending cuts, the United States spends more money — $601 billion — on defense than the next nine countries on Credit Suisse's index combined. America's biggest conventional military advantage is its fleet of 10 aircraft carriers. In comparison India, which is constructing its third carrier, has the second-most carriers in the world. The US also has by far the most aircraft of any country, cutting-edge technology like the Navy's new rail gun, a large and well-trained human force — and that's not even counting the world's largest nuclear arsenal. 2) Russia REUTERS/Baz Ratner Russian soldiers ride on military armored personnel carriers on a road near the Crimean port city of Sevastopol March 10, 2014. In a war, it is the quality of the weapons which matter. Not the quantity. Russia is having the most powerful ICBM, the best air-defense system, and the most advanced nuclear submarine. It also possesses the best battle tank and the most powerful (non-nuclear) bomb. And don't make me laugh by quoting the American military budget. The Americans spent $500 million in Syria, and could train a total of "5" rebels. With that sort of budget, the Russians will be able to train some 100,000 men. Also, the Americans spent some $1.3 trillion to develop the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II. With less than 1% of that budget, the Russians developed a much better fighter jet.

Always missing in these comparisons: missiles. The main reason that U.S. aircraft carriers wouldn´t leave port in a war against Russia and China except maybe as the very last resort.
Great news: Russian "Black Hole" Sub appeared off Syria without NATO/U.S. having much of a clue.

Not only the American ones, but all the aircraft carriers are obsolete ever since the 1980s. And this is exactly the reason why most of the superpowers (obviously with the single notable exception of the United States) are not interested in wasting billions of USD in constructing these insanely expensive pieces of equipment.
