They are, but I know their pain, I've only had my own forum up for a few days and I must have been hit with about 30 - 40 spam posts already.

Well, it really sucks for the people browsing around the forum for long periods before signing up.. Like me.. Maybe pushing a bit more for membership, ie restricting pictures or something would help to avoid this problem? :b

Time surfing the forums isn't the problem for me. It's putting in enough posts. I've been mostly reading just to try to catch up to speed so that I can sound somewhat educated should I need to ask a question, and hopefully in the right forum.
