Why do these Devs think its okay to sell so many coins before putting it on an exchange? It makes it seem so sketchy.

Let the average investor get in cheap. It shows that you're are honest and transparent about the distribution of tokens.

I think this will be a big lesson to be learned as more people come into this space with their own coins.

How was it traded?
From person to person?

It seems to me that here something serious is being plannednull

Yup. see you at 5 billion marketcap.

GUYS! It's just 100% mined out according to https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/iota/ and the sheer number of coins shouldn't deter you. I mean, there's safety in numbers right???

Let me be clear, there is NO CHANCE of this coin leaving you completely empty handed... https://i.imgur.com/blIaAGn.png
Yep. Safe investment here guys.

Yes person to person using escrow. and then on YDX slack. It was painstaking but fully worth the reward.

Your an idiot and completely missed my point. "average investor"  Hence someone who doesn't know wtf YDX Slack is and escrow. SMDH

I bought in.  You need to see this project differently. There are two ways:

A) It goes to 10BN, 20BN, 30BN  and follows Bitcoin and Ethereum.  Then everyone who bought in this month will be congrats and happy to not missed another Ethereum (sorry the comparison is bad but everyone who saw Ethereum at the Start knows what I mean)

B) You sell it in 2 years at maybe 500 MIO Marketcap with a loss.

This will be nothing in between. Either a FULL SUCCESS or a FULL FAILURE.

Your loss is limited to the amount you invest. Your gains are unlimited. if you see iota reaching at least XRP's marketcap, then your gain are 700% compared to 100% maximum loss.

Correct that is why I invested. I don't wanna miss it.  On the other hand 100% loss is fine in Crypto World when you have a balanced Portfolio.

Again a lot of people here don't see the Vision and the 700% POSSIBLE GAIN in IOTA.  Not saying that IOTA has not a crazy Market CAP already, but when we see other Coins we see it can be more crazy. No one complaining about Ethereum having 36BN

This is something new in Crypto. Moon from day one.

How so when CFB keeps deleting anyone who tries and asks for help and any criticism of this project?

I asked for help, and he deleted my posts.

I invested into this early and now he is screwing over a lot of the people that made this project what it is. Denying them their original investment and pocketing it for his own greed.

He will delete this post also, there is a lot of complaints from the early investors of how this anti-social dev handles the project.

I don't see much future once everyone realizes who they have to deal with and his attitude towards others.

Actually for the total amount, IOTA is similar to Bitcoin. Iota has no decimal point and is equivalent to satoshi in bitcoin. There are 2.1x10^15 satoshi in total for bitcoin and there is about 2.78x10^15 iota in total for IOTA.

To learn more about IOTA, A good starting point is the IOTA blog, maybe starting with this old update - https://blog.iota.org/iota-weekly-newsletter-1-9d79972cfe73. Read more - https://blog.iota.org

Real world projects:
https://insights.ubuntu.com/2017/02/20/iota-iot-revolutionized-with-a-ledger

https://innovationhub.innogy.com/news-event/3lj6DX6LS0C4SyKmgEOiQq/meet-our-future-customers--machines-with-wallets

https://blog.iota.org/announcement-iota-as-backbone-in-e-voting-research-18f13d0edbd4

https://decentralized-identity.github.io

There are more projects which have not been announced yet.

Idiot

https://iota.readme.io/v1.2.0/docs

Quote
What is the total supply of IOTA?

The total supply of IOTA is (3^33-1) / 2, which equals to a total number of IOTA's of 2779530283277761

2,779,530,283,277,761

Dude the amount of coins in supply has ABSOLUTELY ZERO to do with the value of each coin. Its the amount of money invested into the coin that gives it value.

Cryptocurrency 101 come on man

Ah, so a coin having an absolutely astronomical amount of coins to dump on unsuspecting buyers has no effect on value.

Let's see how your prediction vs mine works.

I believe this coin will be nobid soon, thanks to there being 2,779,530,283,277,761 coins.

You do realize that the total supply of bitcoin is  = 2,099,999,997,690,000 satoshis

Compare.

That Coin I would buy and hold too. And yes that is correct if IOTA is worth 1,7 BN . Byteball should rise too.

May the best TECH win.

Could this be the new competitor of Ethereum?

From fundamentals and tech point of view, IOTA is better than anything else!!

how does it handle smart contracts and say EC20 token creation or similar?
