If the decision is positive expect a + 5-10 dollar price move leading to weekend. Yet, this could be an early indicator and base for a greater move as we get near the halving, continuing emerging market weakness, low commodity prices and capital control in China + devalued Yaun--all putting positive updrafts on the price. Expect the slow and steady BTC uptick to continue.

Didn't expect to see Bitstamp break through the $280 level today. Even not due to this VAT news. I hope this will continue the comming months so we can finally see a price above $300.

Well maybe that's why we are seeing a $10 rise today??

But in all honesty this looks like a complete trend reversal. Last 15 days, since the Gemini launch, we have a constant upward pressure and we are growing very nicely, without any parabolic moves, which is great.

Good news on Bitcoin in Europe. Bitcoin will not be taxed , and is defined as digital money. These movement will make newspapers, tv ... to speak about bitcoin as a legal coin and more people will be interested about knowing more about bitcoin.

This might be a case of 'buy the rumours, sell the news'.

The advocat general opinion had been known for some time, it was positive. Last week we learned that the court would decide today. That were the rumours and they had an effect on the price - this was visible from the fact of how the bid wall grew on Bitstamp, and not so much on other exchanges. Now we have the news.

When Coinbase opened I don't think it had massive volume. Like Gemini it was barely noticeable at first, then after a few months its volume picked up. Gemini does offer a safe exchange that hasn't been hacked, is fully regulated and insured. After it starts letting international customers trade it will probably get much higher volume, and might become the leading exchange after the ETF opens.

The ETF opening combined with more worldwide government acceptance might start a parabolic move.

Well, it's not like they had any alternatives but to deal with it in a positive manner. It has been proven that if you try to fight Bitcoin, it will fight you back. If you try to ban it, people will just become more interested about it because of reverse psychology. And if you don't ban it, people will also become more interested on it because it's seen as something non threatening. In other words, Bitcoin cannot fail.

Really great news for Bitcoin, and now with growing optimism $ 300 by the end of the month is not mission impossible Smiley

I doubt we are going to see 1200 any time soon. Most likely, we will retreat back down to 250-260 and stay there until the end of the month. you will see, please temp down a bit.

We've been in the low 200 for long enough. The mid 200 are there only on the way to pass to 300 again. If the momentum is mainted, we should hit 300 before the end of the month.

People getting salaries, thus having some spare money as well. Rising price, FOMO, and we have a recipe for a price rise Smiley
