Can I get a clarification Shorena on altcoin lists, I was thinking something like Mapofcoins but that would be a thread link or are you referring to websites.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=449824.60 (Threads not updated much)
The map is updated to 2015 September, or are you looking more along the lines of services that accept bitcoin and altcoins in a listing.

(Also sorry didn't see the new forum software was already on the list)

Added, thanks. Dont worry about suggesting threads that are already on the list. Id rather have a few extra suggestions than not enough.

I think I still have the PDF about the first ARG search. Do you want/need it?

I wrote it Wink

Im not really here, its just your imagination.

I know, it does not contain any info about that. I guess I never expected it to be that popular. I will add a link to a post where I linked it (that sounds way more complicated than it is).

OP i've found this very interesting thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1235171.new#new

This guy is making a TL;DR version of the developer IRC logs. I always like to read them but sometimes I don't have enough time or I just don't understand what are they talking about. I think being able to read what the developers are talking to each other is great and yet another thing you would never be able to get on a non-open source project (specially of this magnitude)

Hi there , isn't this supposed to be sticked ? When I made that topic asking how threads gets sticked people/mods said that a thread to link all is more useful and should be sticked etc .. but I don't see this one sticked ...

Also here is another topic of mine , I'm not sure if it's that useful though : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1188179.0

They are interesting, but it seems they are a regular thing.

2015.10.22 -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1222156.0
2015.10.29 -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1235171.0

I added both for now, I might have to think about a different format if they are a constistant thing.

Well BadBear said they would rather sticky something like this, not that they would actually sticky it. The request for it in meta died down quickly. The thread is a quick reference and its more usful as sticky, but its not my decision.

Also here is another topic of mine , I'm not sure if it's that useful though : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1188179.0

Yes, they are supposed to be regular things. The IRC meetings happen every Thursday and G1lius posts the "in layman's terms" summary every monday to Reddit and the mailing list as well as here. Maybe all of those should have their own consolidation thread which you can link to.

Thanks for the info. It would certainly make things easier for me, but adding a 3rd set of lists is possible so I will just do that for now.

Not sure if this would fit with your list, but maybe links to the whitepaper (https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf) and the original post on the cypherpunks mailing list where satoshi announced bitcoin (https://www.mail-archive.com/cryptography%40metzdowd.com/msg09959.html)

The plan was to link only within the board, but I will think about adding a section for external links. Maybe if I dont hide them behind text to make it obvious. There is good material off side.

If you do plan on trying it, I have an entirely separate list of links I can put here but the one that I would most recommend is tracking the value of IPO investments in Bitcoin as its not going to be much longer till Bitcoin will have 1 Billion in Seed funding historically and people will need a way to find out what services are available in Bitcoin or will be available in Bitcoin in a nice organized matter after the initial Hype fades away Smiley.

There is also a Chinese Version of this so if off board links are considered the language issue may come up under consideration criteria as well.

Thanks for the links, but I dont think I will do this. Some sites like bitcoin.org might never change, but others are less reliable. External links require regular maintenance and might be a security problem (e.g. hijacked sites)

I wonder why anyone never thought of it before!

I couldn't find this link in the OP although I could have missed it. It's a list of members listed by joining date. People researching Bitcoin's history could find it interesting. Sirius and Theymos show up on the first page together with a load of newbie accounts made by people who probably now wish they had stuck with Bitcoin instead of losing interest.
