They why are you bothering to post anything at all, if for no other reason than to bring attention to your own ignorance ? OP: CentOS is pretty secure IMO; I use that for BTC-node and firewall related stuff. It's a great server platform. If you're looking for something more user-centric, I'm kinda partial to either Ubuntu or Debian. |

Basically you can do anything using the derivatives of ubuntu. if you can work with puppy linux which is small and fast that would be great. which software do you use for creating subtitles by the way?
as far as i know you can encrypt text using the openshot software and inkscape

CentOS i believe require higher hardware specification compare to ubuntu derivatives like Mint. For all the lists of things you wanted to o, Puppy linux can work well and it can be installed to an old computer.

You know, archlinux is uhm! I mean, I'm able to install an engine later but I prefer a ready to use stuff on a usb, since it's not going over a real HD..
When I make translations of subs I usually use Aegisub, which suits best for me.
I meant when I wanna make hardsubs on stuff.
Downloading a couple of distros now.

If you like IT problems, you can use any Linux OS. Especially good is Debian - you will have a lot of IT problems, but from the other hand you can spend your time together with Linux fans  |
