Where are the server located? I'm going to join when we have a little increase in the hashrate Cheesy
What about adding the hashrate in the main page?

We are in "the cloud", but I guess technically the data center is in New York  Smiley

We would appreciate your contribution, that would definitely help use increase our hash rate.

I will add your request, for the hash rate to be displayed on the main page, to our task list.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Hi All!

We've just added a JSON stats API. You can get global pool stats at https://pool.bitp.it/api/pool

You can also get your user/worker stats at https://pool.bitp.it/api/user. To access that, you'll either need to have an authenticated browser session, or use HTTP Basic auth (using your login username/email and password). We'll soon be adding API token authentication as well.

Let us know what you guys think  Cheesy

Any chance of editing the title of this thread and putting your total hashrate in, like other pool threads?

Good idea.

I've had it on there before, but with growth and variance, it got a little hard to maintain. I've re-added it, the title should now reflect our current approximate size.

Now that we have the API done we will be adding the global hash rate to the home page soon as well.

I'm using the mining proxy by cdhowie (http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=5506.0) and can't get a connection to bit pit. Works fine with other pools (BTC Guild, MtRed, ...)

That is interesting.

I will look into this and see what the problem is.

EDIT: Just for note, I'm actually setting up a Ubuntu VM right now so I can get this proxy installed. It will be a bit, but I am looking into the issue right now  Smiley

Just a quick update. I've successfully setup the mining proxy, and I have been able to recreate this issue. From our server logs it would appear that it's not sending requests to our pool, or that they're not going to the right place.... so I'm going to bust out wireshark and start debugging.

Thanks  Cheesy

I've been working all day on it... it's a rather odd "bug". Apparently this mining proxy uses HTTP/1.0, and apparently our backend (despite having received your getwork request and processed it) just hangs up and doesn't send the contents we've written to the response.

Very odd to say the least.

However, after you brought this to our attention, and once we started suspecting it had something to do with HTTP/1.0, we reviewed our server logs in more detail and found that others (from no-telling which mining software) have encountered this before.

We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and it has quickly become our top priority.

Indeed, we do need more hashing power. I guess people prefer their stale shares and downtime that those "other" pools offer, lol  Smiley

I will send you a PM.

We've been working non-stop on this, and it's very strange to say the least. But, we've isolated the issue. We just need to figure out *why* it's occurring Huh

I appreciate your patience, and look forward to seeing you on our leaderboard.
