There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

The reference client do not relay transactions with dust. Dust is defined as transactions which has outputs less than 2730satoshis. Which fits one of your outputs. This would result in miner having less probability of seeing and including your transactions and not accepting it if they accept dust transactions.

Don't worry, your not yet screwed AFAIK  Wink I've seen similar situations where it stays unconfirmed for the longer time than usual, but within hours it gets confirmed and also make sure you don't leave your wallet open in case your using blockchain.info or any online wallets

Not charged back, but the transaction will be dropped from the network, as long as no one is broadcasting it. Then it essentially becomes able to do a double spend since virtually no one will have that transactions

why cant i leave my wallet open?
Your wallet will continue to broadcast the transaction while it is open, thus making it impossible for the transaction to drop. Since you are actually the receiver, you need to tell the sender to do that and then resend it.

As the receiver of the transaction, there is absolutely nothing you can do. You must wait for it to be confirmed, or wait for the sender to do a double spend and send the transactions but without the dust output.

The chances are very low. The dust output is considered dust under the new defaults (2730 satoshis) and under the old defaults (546 satoshis) so I am surprised that you even received it. Most new nodes would not relay a transaction with such a small output. I highly doubt that it will every get confirmed.

Use a wallet that does not send dust. Most wallets will give you a warning if you attempt to send a dust output. It is up to you to heed that warning and not send a dust output. Fees don't matter if there is a dust output.

As the receiver of a transaction, you have no direct control over how the transaction is formed.  However, you can do the following:
  • Verify that a transaction is not poorly formed before providing anything of value in exchange for an unconfirmed transaction
  • Refuse to do business with someone that sends poorly formed transactions.
  • Explain to the sender what they have done wrong so that they can learn to do it right
