Greetings,

I want to try mine scrypt and think of dogecoin or litecoin.

I found Gridseed G-Blade 5.2 MH that i can buy in my region. what about profitability? can someone help me what will "give me back at the end of the day"?

let's not think about electricity but about total income from what will mine.

i read somewhere about not producing 5.2 without overclock and real mining is about 4.7 MH.

Anyone who has experience on this?

Hi,

If power costs really don't matter, you could check your expected return from mining here:
https://www.litecoinpool.org/calc?hashrate=5.5&speedunit=MH%2Fs

My own Gridseed G-Blades run at between 5.4 and 5.8MH/s.

It's important to have a good power supply, one that is able to supply the ~10A one G-Blade unit draws.

I was getting 5.8MH/S To 6MH/S with mine. with my whole setup in the image below I got 8-9 MH/S
I used bfgminer 5.0.0  clocked 838....  very little stales...

I upgraded to (3) A2 Terminators 90 MH/S and ( 2 ) 110MH/S

now they are packed away and probally won't use them again.

now on the profit, I didn't make much mining with this setup but it was fun learning and a great starter setup.

how much are you buying yours for?

thank you both for your replies.

until now i am having only sha256 miners for bitcoin.

i have an offer for 250€ / each miner for 4 miners.

and i had no idead if this would be a good or a bad idea.

really looks like if you want to play it's ok but nothing more....

so you are getting 4 gridseeds?

250 x 4 = 1.000€

so i say no to this... it's better buy altcoins and wait if price go up....

100€ that the last user replied here is better option but have only 1 unit.

the best stll is to go to bitcoin minning i understand after all.
i make return of my investment in minning of bitcoin everytime - even after some minners burned again i win because of price.
or is there any other way you know to go on scrypt minning that is giving back something interesting to invest on this?

get the boards far cheaper off aliexpress.com - keep in mind each PCB is only 2.7mh (x2 = one gridseed blade)

you will need to sort a heatsink, but these can be had easily from any hobby/electronics store for transformers/amplifiers
