I don’t think he signs an extension. Maybe he will because of loyalty, but the temptation to sign with a contender and get all new partnerships at this stage in his career will be tough to turn down. If he wants another ring and a billion dollar sponsorship deal, he isn’t going to find either staying in Golden State.
He is on the Warriors since he was drafted. I bet the question for loyalty should be out of the picture unless the Warriors itself is the one that doesn’t want Curry anymore on the team. There’s less motivation for Curry to go on other team either to chase championships or money since he already have this. Lebron is a different case since he is known for jumping to different teams every since. Steph Curry just sold his house in the Bay Area for $29.1 million dollars. Does this mean he is leaving? Not in itself, but it isn’t the greatest sign he’s planning to stay either. I still say he plays out his contract and then signs with a contender for way less money to try and get himself another ring. AFAIK, This house sale happened last May before trading rumor on social media sparked the same way on his marriage problem issue which is proven wrong. We don’t know exactly what he is thinking. You might be right or wrong with your assumption but based on Curry career then it’s hard for me to see him go on different team. Ofc, I like to see him go on my favorite team Spurs. Everything is possible now in the NBA besides he might be also considering joining a team that can get him a championship, that's the last one he might be wanted, but even though he sold the house, Steph will not be let go of the GSW just like that, he is still the best shooter in the league, and if the GSW will not be able to give him a caliber teammates to make another run, other teams will try to lure him into signing there no doubt so lets wait on how things will end up, but steph might still consider retiring as GSW.

What do you mean, GSW won’t just let him go? This upcoming season will be the last one on Curry’s contract, which means he’ll become a free agent next offseason. There are actually plenty of options; he could either sign a new contract with the GSW or leave for any other, more competitive team, especially if he wants to try to win another championship. And let’s not forget that Curry will be 39 next year.

This could be a very good hint that he might be leaving his team, because we've seen players in the past sell their houses before transferring somewhere else. For example, Ja Morant listed his home for sale in Memphis, Jimmy Butler sold his home in Miami, and Wiggins also sold his home in Minnesota, and there are probably more examples like that. So now the question is, if Curry really leaves, where could his next team be?

Those are really the two options, even if Curry is already getting old, I think he can still get a good contract from the Warriors, but if he's really desperate to win another ring, then moving to another team might be the better option. Selling his house could already be a hint that he'll be with another team next season, we just don't know yet which team that will be.

Based on what I read, which I believe was already posted here before, these are the top 3 teams where Curry could possibly land. 1. San Antonio Spurs - Curry + Wemby, that would be scary. 2. Miami Heat - Curry + Giannis, damn, this would be good. 3. Boston Celtics - Curry + Tatum + their already good system, that really looks like a team built to win a championship.

If he really want to win another one the best destination is spurs but what are the spurs willing to give, while Boston and Miami, may offer picks, the best option in the three is the spurs, surely it will be easy finals incase they are all healthy the problem is Steph now is he is always injured because of his age, the running he have done in his prime is now taking the toll, the only player who seems to be not slowing down is LeBron, although he is now old,

With the current salary cap, I think it's almost impossible for the Spurs to sign Curry considering he would still demand a big salary. Unless Curry is willing to take a huge discount, which I think is unlikely, then maybe it could happen. The Spurs are already committed to players with big salaries like Wemby, Fox and Vassell, I think those are among their highest-paid players. So maybe a trade is possible, but getting Curry through free agency would be much harder.

Lebron is a different case since he is known for jumping to different teams every since. After giving the team 4 titles and having a dynasty around him, I don't think that this is the case for the Warriors' management. I don't think that it will come to a point where they don't like him anymore. If you will ask me, that's very disrespectful towards the player after what he's done for the team and for the whole management as well. The Warriors are willing to welcome him that's for sure, so it's on Curry now on whether he'll stay and become loyal for the rest of his career, or will compete and chase for a 5th ring still. Speaking of 5th ring, yes he has both the money and the titles already, but we know that there are some players who are still hungry to get a title despite having it already, and Curry MIGHT be one of them. Who knows? I agree with what @OgNasty said though that he might not sign an extension, but not because he doesn't want to be there anymore, but the reason is that he wants to have at least a control on which team he'll be going just in case things will not be great on Golden State. Let's disregard Le-Bum in the conversation. Kobe won titles in Lakers, and stayed there until he retired. Dirk won a title, chose to stay in Dallas until he retires. Duncan had the same experience as well. I wonder if Curry will follow their footsteps.

I think the Warriors are not really the problem here. Curry might already be frustrated that after many tries, the team still has not improved enough to compete for another championship. For a future Hall of Famer who is still playing at a high level, it would be normal if he chooses another team where he has a better chance to win another ring. If it is only about money, I’m sure the Warriors can still offer him a good salary, but if Curry’s main goal is another championship, money might not be enough to make him stay. Kobe won titles in Lakers, and stayed there until he retired. Dirk won a title, chose to stay in Dallas until he retires. Duncan had the same experience as well. I wonder if Curry will follow their footsteps. Let's hope for that, but time changes you know.

Sure, back in the day that sort of loyalty was something people wanted to see, but not anymore. Everything is legacy now and Steph needs to play on a team that will win games. Look at Kawhi, he cares a lot about his winning % to the point he barely plays anymore... Steph could want to win another ring and pad his stats for his legacy, but both of those things would be easier to do on a team with more talent than the Warriors are able to provide right now.

Jonathan Kuminga has agreed to a two-year, $13 million deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Minnesota is signing the young athletic guys. They should be exciting to watch in the upcoming season. I’m not sure how many games they’ll win, but with Kuminga, Ant, and LaMelo, they’re going to have some highlights.
