I would not blame Lakers to be fair, they had a 42 year old Lebron, a role player in another team Rui, a recently returned from injury Reaves, and they lacked Doncic, the dude who could be considered MVP by some people this season
Of course, they cannot really be blamed because we already knew they were no match for OKC.

The betting lines already proved that. Every game, OKC was always around -10.5 or higher, and in 4 games, they covered the spread 3 times. So what was expected really happened in that series. If Luka was there, I think it would have been more interesting because he could create offense and make the Lakers harder to defend. But even with him, I still believe OKC would likely win the series.

So that’s it. I think LeBron should retire already. At this age, he has done enough, achieved everything, and now maybe it is time for him to relax and enjoy his fortune.

He said that he doesn't know what the future holds for him. So with that, I think he will still play for at least one season with the Lakers and still hope that they can get a ring before he retires.

As what we have seen this season, he still average more than any young players in the league. It's just that in the playoff, Luka is injured so he had to carry the Lakers on his shoulders and it's hard to beat a complete team like the Thunder.

So after the fresh defeat of the 76ers, the management have just fired their Daryl Morey but sticks with their head coach Nick Nurse. Daryl is the team's president. I guess that we're going to see series of firing from each team and they'll reform for specific sections of their management/organization to rebuild and get ready for the next season.

Its a good thing they retain the Head Coach, this is not his problem i mean not his mistake why their players got injured like for example embiid if he is healthy and no injury i just think they could be in the finals, but they need to remove PG and look for a better option, PG seems to be inconsistent, for example in game 4, imagine scoring 15 pts in the first half and make 0 pts in the second half, i mean at least get a shoot foul or try to bait the other team he seems to be okay like that, the PG version in Pacers is already gone.

i think like all great things coming to an end, he reached the end of a career as well. he is 42 years old and has completed his 23rd season. it wasn’t a beautiful ending to the season but despite everything of course he deserves a respect

It is not going to happen anymore, unless he joins another team that has big potential.

The Lakers’ current lineup is not championship material, let’s just accept the reality. They still have big names, but as a team, they are not on the same level as OKC and other younger, deeper squads. Maybe what LeBron still wants now is to improve his personal records. That is more likely at this point compared to winning another championship. He already achieved almost everything, so maybe extending his legacy and numbers is what keeps him going.

As what we have seen this season, he still average more than any young players in the league. It's just that in the playoff, Luka is injured so he had to carry the Lakers on his shoulders and it's hard to beat a complete team like the Thunder.
Exactly, in terms of individual numbers, he is still good. But his impact on the team is not that big anymore.
I still remember during his prime, he could carry almost any team deep into the playoffs, even up to the championship. He made his teammates better, controlled the whole game, and you could really feel his presence every possession.

That is not what we are seeing anymore. He can still score, still make good plays, and still put up great stats, but he can no longer carry a team the same way he used to. Age really catches up, even to the greatest players.

There's no problem with their coach and I think the teams are just looking for an escape goat or someone to blame whenever there's a change of management or whoever they fire. That's a typical blame game to these teams whenever they go into the playoffs and they end up with frustrations.

That is a possibility since his contract with the Lakers is over and he is an unrestricted free agent now.
So if he wants to have one more run for the championship then he can do it with another team.
The only reason I can see him re-signing with the Lakers is for his son which would be only for one more year.
Because the last one he had was worth $50.6m per year from what I remember was being said during this news yesterday.
And I can't see any team, not even the L.A, paying this much in another multi-year deal for a player that is over 41 years old.

Yes, he does. I have not been a LeBron James fan since he set foot in the NBA. Never actually. Cavs, Miami Heat, and Lakers. I hate all those teams. But all the respect to him with his punctuality, his attendance, his hard work, and especially his health consciousness. He made it this far because he took care of his health both physically and mentally. He ain't an injury-prone player, unlike Kawhi and other power forwards who cannot even complete 50 games of the season, worse, to perfect it.

If this is the end of his career, there will still be a tear running down my cheek just like when Kobe retired, although I hate them both. Cheesy No, it's not sarcasm. It's their hard work and love for the game that I always respect.

I never liked Kobe until the end of his career when I saw how he was on a losing team…

I don’t think this is the end for LeBron. Maybe in Los Angeles. I’d love to see him do a superteam thing with Steph and Giannis, but I’m sure the contract he’ll demand limits those possibilities.

Brandon Clarke, the 29-year-old player for the Memphis Grizzlies, has passed away. I don't know the cause of death, but many news sites have reported his passing.

As a sports fan, I am very saddened. May he rest in peace.
Aside from all the chaos happening here in the Philippines, this is also one of the things I keep seeing on my Facebook news feed right now. I read through a lot of the comments looking for the cause of death, but I couldn’t find anything confirmed, only rumors about mental health issues, suicide, or even a possible drug overdose.
Still, he was way too young and definitely very talented. It’s just unfortunate that the Grizzlies roster has been dealing with so many injuries. If their lineup had stayed healthy, they probably could have made the playoffs.

They need to let go, like what you said it's not the coach so it's good that they will keep him, the management needs to check and balance the players that they've got, similar to what you said, they need to find a better 2-wsy player or players that will jive with everyone, PG might need to be traded if they can get another reliable star to help them, it was a missed opportunity as after beating Boston they've fell against NYK.

That's one more try but I think his main goal now is to play with his 2 kids on the same team.

Although Steph has probably liked the idea of him playing with Lebron like a dance, I also like to see that happen.

It's more of giving to the fans than they're chasing for that title even if they've got a lot of it already.

He had a much better performance than many younger players, he really had a good season. But unfortunately, he couldn't do anything in the playoffs because the team's other quality players were injured. It was a complete disappointment for him after the first round.
OKC was a good team, and a Lakers team with missing players didn't have much chance of beating them. In the end, they were eliminated. I'm very curious to see what he'll do next year, I think he's still playing quite well

I’m deeply saddened to see a young man pass away like this it’s heartbreaking, just like you have said I have seen his passing on several social media platforms most especially on Instagram, and Twitter, and nothing very serious was mentioned about the cause of his death.

It’s really unfortunate and painful for his family, I understand the pains that his family would be going through right now, and the basketball community is mourning this unfortunate loss right now.

Grizzlies have struggled with injuries and difficult situations outside the court with their players, it was always going to be difficult for them to make the playoffs.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.

sadly that is the reality he know he can still ball but the team already gave up, this has something to do with coaching and management, they fail to have good backup players, the team really don't want to spend much for the season yet they still made it to the second round, thats already an achievement, but haters will still say he can't carry a team, analyst will throw stone about how he can't win a series, coming from a player who score 2 points in his career and players who did not even win a ring, still he can play but he needs to decide where to because i don't think the lakers are willing to add or find players better to support him.

Cavs winning against the Pistons on the road. It was not an easy game for them as they have to climb back and force a OT. It's good that Mitchell finally caught up fire in the OT as Harden was the one carrying them in the regular period.

With that big road win, they are now up 3-2 and the next game will be in their homecourt wherein the Cavs haven't lost in this series. So this could be a close out game for them and beating the top seed in the East.

This is where we can really see how valuable James Harden is. He had around 30 points in this game and made some good decisions when picking his shots, though there were still some turnovers too.

They were down by 15 points if I’m not mistaken, and that was already a huge deficit, especially playing on the road. But they still managed to come back and force overtime.
In overtime though, things were different. The Cavaliers started strong and finished strong.

Sadly for me, I could have won bigger if the Cavaliers won by 6 to 10 points, because that was x6.67 on my bookie. But the Pistons still took that last shot for an easy 2. If they had taken and made a 3-point shot instead, there was still a chance my bet would hit.

I think I’m taking a break for a while now.

Yes, turnovers and useless foul and his defense is in question.

In overtime though, things were different. The Cavaliers started strong and finished strong.

It was the Cavs that still has the legs on the OT. While the Pistons looks like already. Some players step up, but still Duren is way below his average in the regular season so he is the missing pieces here.

Sadly for me, I could have won bigger if the Cavaliers won by 6 to 10 points, because that was x6.67 on my bookie. But the Pistons still took that last shot for an easy 2. If they had taken and made a 3-point shot instead, there was still a chance my bet would hit.

Take it easy mate.

For me I would love to take Cavs by ML, however, I don't have sats in my wallet and so I was not able to get on this game. Looking right now though, this could be a strong case for Mitchell and Harden to win and get over to the finals of the West.

Looking right now though, this could be a strong case for Mitchell and Harden to win and get over to the finals of the West.

Cavaliers should treat Game 6 like it is already the last game of the series. They should not give the Pistons any more life, especially since Cleveland is good at home. This is the best chance for them to finally end the series.

Now we can really see how experience becomes a big factor. The Pistons are still a young team, while the experience belongs to Mitchell and Harden, and they are the ones leading the way. It also helps a lot that the Cavaliers now have Harden, because they are way less predictable. Before, it was mostly all Mitchell, and that made him easier to tire out. But now, Harden can create shots, control the pace, and take some pressure away from him.

Have you noticed the trend? Mitchell usually struggles in the first half, then explodes in the second half. I suspect that is because he is reserving his energy and choosing when to attack harder. That kind of adjustment is important in the playoffs.

Cleveland won the game 113-117 in overtime after it ended 103-103 in regulation, taking a 3-2 lead in the series. In the ongoing series, both teams that were home-court advantage lost their home-court advantage. Detroit and Minnesota are the teams that lost home-court advantage. I think the Spurs will finish the series in Game 6, but since Detroit and Cleveland are two very evenly matched teams, this series could go to Game 7.
