Cleveland Cavaliers and Detroit Pistons in a game 7 today. Exciting stuff. We get to find out in a mere matter of hours who will be losing to the New York Knicks next round. Great weekend for sports even thought the Netflix fights were pretty lame.

I hope so since I waited for so long for this Spurs line-up to be fruitful since they drafted Wemby.

OKC is struggling to defend him on their previous match up but their last match up already shown that OKC is already adapting on how to counter this Spurs line-up.

Assuming there will be no bias foul call, this will be in favor with Spurs.

What’s important is that the Spurs have beaten them many times in the regular season, and now they will face each other in the WCF. This will be a best-of-7 series, so for sure there will be many adjustments from both sides. Game 1 odds look quite interesting if you are rooting for the Spurs, since they are +6.5 on the handicap, while the moneyline is around x3.10.

By the way, does anyone have an idea what the series betting odds are for this matchup? I know the Spurs are the underdog here, I just want to know how high the odds are.
If the price is good, maybe it is worth taking a little risk, especially if we believe Wemby can really make this series competitive.

Knicks played their last game like a week ago. They have had all their time to rest and prepare for the conference finals. It looks like no matter it's Pistons / Cavaliers they will be coming for their opponent strong...

Tonight the winner of that series is also going to be decided. Cavaliers just play so below the expectations. That's why their chance looks lower in Detroit tonight. Some stars of them really need to show an extra performance in this one.

We're facing one of the toughest matchups in the NBA. On one side, last year's champion Oklahoma, and on the other, San Antonio with Wembenyama. Oklahoma will have home court advantage. Oklahoma is a more complete team. Wemby's performance alone won't be enough for San Antonio. In my opinion, Oklahoma looks set to win the championship again this year.

this one is going to be interesting tbh. OKC is about to play the team they lost to the most this season Smiley they actually lost to them 3 times in a single week. Spurs is faster and younger. lets see.

The only matchup I’d really like to see from here is the San Antonio Spurs and the New York Knicks. I don’t know if I can bear watching Oklahoma City in the Finals again.
Personally I think the New York Knicks vs San Antonio Spurs is going to be a grate matchup, I’m also hoping I see this teams in the playoffs Final.

However we can’t underestimate Oklahoma City Thunder because they’re a very good and strong team, and they’re the defending champions, I think Spurs are going to be a very tough team for them in the Western Conference finals.

Likewise me I can’t imagine San Antonio Spurs not making it to the playoffs Final, it would be a huge blow to me because they’re my pick to win the playoffs Final.
I also do want to see Spurs go to finals, I have been a fan since they had Tim Duncan, I mean by the time I was their fans, they did not even had Ginobili yet, and that dude has bene retired for a long time, so considering how long I have loved them (which is over 20 years now) I think it's clear that I would love to see them of course.

But at the same time, just because I am a fan of them, it doesn't mean that I trust them that much, OKC is just a too strong of a team and it may not be easy to beat them at all.

It's not clear if the series will go as far as seven games, especially if one of the teams manages to exploit their opponent’s weakness in the early games. Nevertheless, the Western Conference Finals are sure to be exciting, perhaps even more so than the Finals, since the Thunder and the Spurs are currently the two strongest teams in the league.

Even though Pistons are favoured for the win tonight I don't see it that simple to be honest. Both of these teams have been very unpredictable during the series.

Pistons aren't really playing like they finished regular season as the leader. They aren't doing well enough in playoffs stage.

Cavaliers should have finished the job 4-2 at home previously but they got a big defeat instead. I still want to give them a chance here though because of their stars that I like. Grin

I’m rooting for the San Antonio Spurs. While the Thunder are undeniably good, they’re not that entertaining or exciting to watch, at least for me. That’s why I’d rather see the Spurs in the Finals. If there’s a team with a good chance of beating the Thunder in a series, it’s probably the Spurs. This would be a very good matchup, especially with Jdub back. Of course, we’ll also get another battle between Chet and Wemby. This definitely won’t be an easy series for either team.

Thanks for the info, I did not see him play in the last rounds, but OKC is still good. Now they need to have a healthy squad to battle against a healthy Spurs squad.

I think many are rooting for the Spurs to win, including me. And it is actually good that they are the underdog here, because we can get some great odds backing them.

I’m looking for someone in my place who can take a series bet, in case it is not available in the sportsbook. The Game 1 odds already look tempting, but the series odds would be more interesting if the price is high enough.

That’s a biased judgment, man, but that’s alright since I’m biased myself as well, lol.

I trusted them in Game 6 because they were undefeated at home in the playoffs, and I really thought they would win there. But they failed big time.

Now they are going to Detroit for a do-or-die game, and I think the advantage is already with Detroit. They have the momentum, they are at home, and they already proved before that they can finish a series strong. Last time, Detroit won 3 straight games to beat the opposing team. Will this now be 2 straight wins to advance to the ECF? That is the big question. Cleveland had their chance already, but now the pressure is fully on them.

Sad to say that the West side got the upper hand here, whoever wins the west finals there's a high chance that they may win the title. NYK might have the advantage since they've got a solid core and role players, so whoever will win between Cavs and Piston it will be a tough series again against NYK, and if ever NYK advance to the finals, I'm hoping that they'll be able to compete against either OKC who's the defending champ or the hot rookie composed Spurs.
We will see. Things could be different once it is already in the NBA Finals, and there is not even any assurance that the Knicks will be there.

You never know what can happen in the playoffs. Injuries can change everything, just like what happened to the Pacers before when Hali got injured. So for now, let’s just enjoy the playoffs. We are only waiting for one final matchup to determine who will advance, Pistons or Cavaliers. Either one should be a good matchup against the Knicks.

On the West, it is Spurs vs OKC, and honestly, this already feels like an NBA Finals series.
Of course, I’m rooting for the Spurs.

I agree with you, as we can't conclude till we don't hear the final buzzer, just like what you have said factors like injuries really affects the outcome the game, hopefully we won't see any and they'll be able to complete their games playing with all their efforts whoever wins deserve the spot it will be depend on their fate if how things will end for them.

I would love to see Spurs winning the series, both teams have their own ways to compete and to possibly win the game.

And James Harden is back in the Conference Finals again. Also, Donovan Mitchell finally broke his curse, this is his first Conference Finals appearance. The Detroit Pistons were kind of absent in the most important game. Cade Cunningham scored only 13 points, and 3 of those came from free throws. He also went 0 for 7 from the three point line. What a bad night for the Pistons. Just when they needed to win the most, they had an off night.

Having Harden really made a difference for the Cavaliers this time. It may have looked like the New York Knicks were the better team in the upcoming series, well, just like the Pistons seemed to be, but the Cavs still managed to win. Also, during the regular season, they managed to beat the Knicks after getting Harden. So, it's hard to say.

Great second round match up, for the series between the Cavs and Pistons. I will go with the Cavs here, specially if Mitchell and Harden can make it as a duo. They also have 2 big men that can contribute in Allen and Mobley. The Pistons will have to make it close though if they want to win and have their supporting cast be ready as the Cavs second unit is deep as well.

And let me quote myself, I think those two are the biggest factor for Cavs winning the series, although there are games that Mitchell and Harden really contribute, but the two big men are the more consistent in terms of offense and defense.

So I will still go with the Cavs here to another game 7 victory en route to the NBA finals.

Finally, Mitchell managed to broke that curse first ever East conference finals, he and Harden is not one more series away for the NBA title, though they went to a do-or-die game but they managed to complete the series with a huge deficits agains Piston, Cavs is now in the ECF and only one series away to regain the ECF title, 9years in the making and now without LeBron carrying them for this conference finals.

Quote
Having Harden really made a difference for the Cavaliers this time. It may have looked like the New York Knicks were the better team in the upcoming series, well, just like the Pistons seemed to be, but the Cavs still managed to win. Also, during the regular season, they managed to beat the Knicks after getting Harden. So, it's hard to say.

Adding Harden is a great deal for the Cavs, though they are performing well after acquiring Mitchell but it's different now that they've got both stars, let see if how both NYK and Cavs will perform as both are really hunger to win the conference finals and represent the East side for the NBA crown.

Harden had a bad night, but he got bailed out by his teammates, and aside from that, the Pistons really had a bad night on this one hence, they lost against the Cavaliers in 7 games.

Harden only scored 8 points, and I would say that his performance tonight is the same as how he played in Game 7 back when the Celtics defeated the Sixers back when he's still in Philly. The only difference here is that, other players stepped up, and the Pistons had terrible offense and speaking of offense, you're in a closeout game, and you only scored 13 points? I'm talking about Cade and even Duren who's their 2nd option on offense only scored 7 points on this one. He's an all-star, but in this series, he got completely shut down, and for me, that just shows that he's the type of player you can't rely on if your JB Bickerstaff.

Moving on, it's the Knicks Vs. Cavaliers in the conference Finals, and both teams have something to prove. Whoever loses on this round might start to make some big trades in the off-season especially with the Cavaliers who is now the most expensive team. If the Cavaliers lose, they might trade some of their starters like Allen, Mobley or even Mitchell and as for the Knicks, trading KAT is the most plausible one if they loses. Let's see, but I'll go with the Knicks on this one just because of they played against the Sixers.

Thompson is more on defense though just to be fair with him. It was really Duren, who supposedly the next option after Cade. And then Tobias we come out in this series as their veteran, but unfortunately, he didn't score that much as well. So it's more on the mindset of the Pistons here and they let the whole Detroit down.

But that is the same as when the Cavs losing game 6 in their homecourt. And even if Harden had another bad game not even scoring double digits, it was enough as Mitchell doesn't want to lose and their twin towers dominating the inside.

So it's good to see the Cavs going into the finals for the first time, post-Lebron James era.

Although James Harden had a somewhat sluggish performance in this game, his teammates played very well, and Cleveland defeated Detroit by 31 points, 94-125, on the road, setting up a conference final matchup against New York. I don't know how this matchup will turn out. Cleveland and New York are two evenly matched teams. Cleveland will only have home-court advantage. New York swept Philadelphia in the previous round. I see New York as having a slightly better chance of reaching the finals.

Their performance with Detroit should not be duplicate its the first time that Mitchell is in the East Finals i think the pressure on him is high, while harden already experience to be in the Finals, so as for his performance today, there should not be another game like that, the scoring drought for the playoffs when needed the most for harden should be break, because this is another shot at the finals, and could be his first if ever, although that is slim chance because the west is another level of beast, he needs to be the beast slayer to be able to win this crown, but he needs first to finish Knicks, which is hungry.

Knicks has a little bit of advantage due to their deep bench players that can step up on the game. I’m surprised on the outcome of the game since Pistons seems formidable but some of their players doesn't step up when they needed the most on their offense.

I think Knicks might overwhelm Cavs on this series if they can still keep up their performance that they show against the 76ers.

WCF is also interesting to watch.
