21 points on 50% shooting, 17 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 blocks doesn't sound so sluggish to me. Guess the standard/expectation for Wemby is very very veeery high already. This type of game would a crazy stat line for many players but for Wemby it's not enough. I think he still had a great game, despite him not "taking over".

OKC avoided making the same mistake this time and won the game 122-113, tying the series at 1-1.

Shai maintained his average scoring this time.

However, Wemby lagged behind in both points and rebounds compared to the previous game, making the loss inevitable.
Wemby grabbed 17 rebounds, five of which were offensive rebounds. In the previous game, this number was 24, nine of which were offensive rebounds. The victory came thanks to their ability to score when they grabbed those offensive rebounds.

The Spurs have home-court advantage. The next game will be in San Antonio in two days. These two games will be crucial for OKC.

Spurs turned the ball over way too much and Wemby really faded down the stretch. but it was Hartenstein who actually tore the game open and snatched the win. Grabbing 8 offensive rebounds against a rim protected by Wemby is a really great thing.

This game is so awful to watch, the calls and miscalls are insane, you can see in the video that they already holding wrapping wemby while in front of the refs and they won't even call, on the other hand there were late calls the spurs are on the act of pushing the ball then a call is made.
painful to watch they are messing the beauty of the game, im not a spurs fans nor OKC but watching this game is really hard to believe that the league are letting this officials calls like that, even with the review they are sticking with the call lol.

It’s painful to watch the game with obvious unfair calls but the injury of Harper is one of the huge factor why they lose on this match. They have a lot of turnover committed on this match which makes them unable to catch up when they are on momentum.

OKC injured Jdub too so I believe it’s still a fair match between this 2 team. I was planning to bet on Spurs to continue my streak but I was hesitant due to OKC possible counter measures against Wemby which is harassing without calls.

Let’s how the ref call will change in SA.

Im like are the refs really can't see how they are holding Wemby? thats too much miscalls, your right, Harper exiting the game affect the spurs offense and also the defense, Harper is not the type of player that you can push he's body build are different, that is why he adds + defense with Wemby and castle, but the turnover hurt them a lot in this game 21 turnover might be a 40+ pts if converted so that's a lot lets say half of that so its a 21pts, if converted, that's a lot and they should limit that turnover, can harper and fox play next game? that is still questionable.

Yes, It could have been a game charger if Harper was in the floor in this game. He is doing the usual, at both ends of the court. However, when he was sideline, the game changes as he can spread the floor or even hit that 3's.

We can only hope that Harper's injury is that as bad as Fox so that he can play in game 3 to make this series more competitive as both teams are healthy and then making adjustments every game.

I looked at the player statistics for both games, and Stephon Castle had 20 turnovers in the first two games of the series. His reckless and fast-paced offense is contributing to this. He needs to slow down a bit sometimes.

I don't know if there's another player in NBA playoff history who has more turnovers in two consecutive games. That's a huge number. Wemby's dominant play in the first game compensated for it, but that didn't happen in this game.

The Spurs need to find a solution to this. OKC didn't have that many turnovers as a team in two games.

Maybe they expect to much on offensive side, since on game 1 Wemby dominate and tallied 41 points.

Although game 2 scoring is way more lower than his past performance, but same as you I will not call it sluggish because somehow Wemby still dominate on the floor. Its just Spurs fall short this time when Harper is out due to injury. If he's didn't get injured maybe we see different result in game 2. Spurs also commits lots of turnovers and this is also one big factor that contributes on why they lose today.

Although I believe that's the type of game that he plays, I agree with you that he needs to slow it down a bit. Let his teammates do some of the hard work, too, although sometimes doing it alone is effective. I guess he was that aggressive because Fox was not around, and then Harper went out too after getting hurt. He may have thought that all the offense relies on his shoulder, but they still have a lot of young players there to help with the offense.

OKC won. Good counter from them. But in that close type of game, I think the Spurs are telling the Thunder to get ready when the next game will be the Spurs' home.

Anyway, just like Reggie Miller and Crawford said, that game was a treat. Nail biting. You cannot miss one play because it can change everything. It's like a serious All-Star game. Offense and defense.

This is the controversy behind this game, since many think about that refs is favoring OKC in that game. But the game already ends and they cannot do anything with it anymore. So best for Spurs to adjust and be more dominant on the floor.

If fox is ready to play then I think its good to activate him, because for sure they can't afford to lose again on game 3 since its really bad for then if OKC will get the momentum. Wemby perform good in this game and as what you have said maybe he need to put up 30 pts each game to increase their chance to win.

We can't control the game only the refs, its either to be check by the league or they let it go but its so obvious they are giving the OKC a hand, or the refs are betting, Spurs had too many turnovers seems the OKC gain 27 pts out of that turnover, also losing Harper in that game is one of the game changer.
Wemby could have been again unstoppable but the heckling ang grabbing prevent him from jumping the worse part is that the refs are not calling it a foul instead a let go, so they just need to adjust again in the next game.

Knicks won the first game, Brunson played a great game, he is really becoming a great leader for that Knicks team, the game was close enough to say that we do not know what the series will do, maybe Knicks will continue to play good and will win the series, or maybe Cavs will end up with a better second game, we have no idea. But the reality is that, none of these teams looked better than the west finals, which means that no matter who wins this series, they will most probably lose at the finals. We cannot be 100% sure of course, this is sports and anything could happen, but 99.99% chance that whoever wins west finals, will win the title.

After doing some reading it looks a lot like we’re going to see Giannis on the Miami Heat and LeBron on the Cleveland Cavaliers next season. Bam and Giannis is an interesting pairing. They are a couple of the strongest players in the league and will be able to overwhelm teams. LeBron joining Mitchell and Harden in Cleveland is interesting too if Harden can play another year at a high level.

I lost 2 very decent amount because of him and it's unfortunate that Stake.com doesn't offer injury protection like some other bookies especially ones in the (US), when a player gets injured inside the first half, they gets void, meanwhile Jalen Williams only played in the first quarter alone.
