New York defeated Cleveland by 37 points in the fourth and final game, sweeping the series 4-0. Cleveland was swept in this round.

James Harden was largely invisible throughout the series. He played 33 minutes in this game but only contributed 15 points.

New York, on the other hand, is scoring very well as a team.
Jalen Brunson's scoring performance in this game was below my expectations.
New York will be rested and await their opponent in the finals.

Mate, that was really a total dominance by Knicks!    The gap was even 45 points at a point. Cavaliers players already had the series finished in their minds obviously.

I totally agree on Harden. He was useless in this series. His not being any use in defense must be really annoying for the coach. Maybe they already regret trading him.

Mate, that was really a total dominance by Knicks!    The gap was even 45 points at a point. Cavaliers players already had the series finished in their minds obviously.

I totally agree on Harden. He was useless in this series. His not being any use in defense must be really annoying for the coach. Maybe they already regret trading him.

Maybe they don’t regret it, but they are definitely disappointed with Harden’s performance in this series, especially in Game 4. But without him, I don’t think they would have even made it this far. Still, his performance has been really disappointing considering his salary and caliber. He scored just 12 points, and 8 of those came from free throws. I don’t think his next contract will still be the same, maybe lower than $40M. He’s aging already. He can still score, but he’s far from the Rockets version of Harden who could at least carry a team. At $40M a year, I don’t think it’s worth it anymore. It should be lower than that. He’s starting to look washed, especially in crucial games, at least for me.

They don’t regret that for sure because they might not even reach the conference finals without what they already have. Reaching that level already proves they are a good team, but the Knicks were just the better team.

At least they now have something to work on next season because they are already near, while other teams don’t even make it to the playoffs.

The Knicks are just playing like they are unbeaten this season, and I bet that will continue in the NBA Finals.
Imagine them taking a rest now while the West could still possibly reach Game 7.

The San Antonio Spurs and the Oklahoma City Thunder game tonight is a big one. Neither team wants to have their back against the wall for game 6… This might be the biggest game of the series tonight. I will definitely be watching and rooting for the Spurs. Wemby for Finals MVP!

The entire playing system of OKC is to be able to shoot, and draw fouls and this has been complained about the NBA fans all over the world. And this is exactly what happens if they do not get the fouls, look at this game, they had only 18 free throws and that means they lost terribly, which is literally what the fans have been saying, do not call everything a foul for OKC and they are a mediocre team nothing more. They would have finished the season like 6th or whatever in the west and would have lost by now.

The only reason why OKC won a title, and winning so far, is because those fouls were called. But because fans actually got themselves heard, they did something about it and did not call everything a foul, and this resulted with Spurs dominating with ease. Let's see if referees will go back to calling everything a foul, or will they actually stop calling every flopping a foul just like they did this game.

I don't know man. I wouldn't like to see a guard who doesn't run for defense in my team. I mean if the rest of the team can't handle the defense part then obviously they need him too.

This is why I also don't like Harden at Cavaliers lately. Otherwise of course Knicks are a stronger team now. But at least Cavaliers could have showed more resistance instead of losing the series 4-0.

Both the Knicks and OKC are getting good scoring contributions from their bench players. I think it will be an OKC-Knicks final. New York put on a fantastic performance against Cleveland. They're playing very well as a team. Yesterday, OKC had a pretty bad day against the Spurs. I've never seen OKC lose by that many points in the regular season.

I’m surprised that eventhough the Spurs already have homecourt advantage for game 6, the winning odds still favor OKC. Shouldn’t the odds lean toward the Spurs since they have homecourt advantage now and they’re also leading 3-2? If the Spurs win in 6, then Carmelo Anthony’s prediction would be correct. Did you guys see that prediction from Carmelo Anthony that this series would end in Game 6? Honestly, no matter who wins between the Spurs and OKC, it feels like the Knicks would just dominate them in the Finals anyway.

Magic Johnson once said something like it was just Bird and me. then this guy named Jordan came along and that was the end of both of us.
Whoever is called a superstar right now should try to achieve maximum success within the next year. Wemby is going to take the throne soon and basketball will become a game that revolves entirely around him.

But the worst part is the guy is a total genetic marvel, he's of no use to anyone else... i mean, Iverson inspired shorter players. Curry gave hope to others. how on earth is anyone supposed to take inspiration from Wemby?

Spurs tying it up has more value than just the win, it is important because it showed the whole world that if referees do not call every single thing a foul, OKC has no plan. Plus it broke the momentum as well, if it reached 1-3 then we would not see Spurs climb out of that, it would be 3 in a row win, at that point Spurs might as well could have lost the last game too. But with this?

Now that the momentum is broken, Spurs could lose the fifth game, because it is in OKC, and then go back and win the game at home and tie it at 3-3 and push it to 7 games. Knicks are the other finalists, so we know who the winner of this series will face, and both teams believe that they are facing a better team right now and if they can win here, they can both beat Knicks, so it is getting to a point where both teams think this is the real finals.

We are one step away from NBA finals now. Knicks have finished their series 4-0. It is much earlier than I thought to be honest. I was expecting a bigger fight than this by Cavaliers but I got wrong. Their defense is just terrible.

Now we are fully onto the Thunder-Spurs series. Tonight there is Game 5 in Oklahoma. Thunder are favoured of course however I don't expect this series to finish in 6 games. I think we will see Game 7.

This is what it comes down to in the playoffs of which team can draw the fouls and get points behind the line.
Oklahoma have mastered this art to a tee and have the more experience out of these two teams in doing so.
But they have nights such as in their last game where the referees weren't giving them those calls which cost them the game.
This game will come down to if the calls go their way and it is crucial for them to get those free throws once they get the referees on their side. Being a home game, I would imagine, what you suspect will be true and the fans can make an impact for getting those fouls called in their favor.

Yes, I think even if the Thunder are the favorite, there could be some fans that are rooting for the Spurs to win.

Wemby though needs another monster game for them to win and then play good defense. This has been the key for them in their 2 wins. If either is missing, then it's going to be hard press for them to win this pivotal game 5.

I think whoever takes this one will be the WC champion.

Brian Windhorst is reporting that LeBron James is unwilling to take a pay cut in order to join the Cleveland Cavaliers. He is now planning to enter free agency and try to get himself a fresh contract. I think this pushes him a little bit to the Golden State Warriors, but only if they can’t land Giannis.

OKC Thunder are currently almost running away with the win tonight, early into the 3rd quarter the lead has ballooned to an 18 points advantage for the OKC Thunder, and aside not being as put together defensively as they were in Game 3, Wembanyama have not been really aggressive in the paint does far today, he's settling down way to easily behind the arc which is why the Thunder defense have been much more effective tonight.
