Now we are going to Game 7 in the series. I really liked the effort Spurs made last night. They kept Thunder below 100 points and played completely dominantly. I don't even remember Thunder getting ahead in the game for a second.

However the last game is in Oklahoma. I'm nervous about SGA and his friends to take advantage of playing home. I still hope for Spurs to win the series. It isn't impossible. They need to defend with everything they have.

I’m actually one of those strongly against the usage of the word soft foul, it’s either a foul or it’s not and it should be always be as simple as that, If a players legitimately gets fouled, I really don’t care if they make sure that the referees sees and call it, and only place where I draw the line is where there is actually no legitimate contact that should count as foul, if a player is out of bounds or when it’s concerning a 3pt shot it doesn’t matter if it is the toe on the line or the whole body, the rules are there for a reason. If someone is going to foul me and steal the possession from my team at every opportunity, then it’s not wrong to make sure that the call is being made.

This series has a lot of speculation, especially on the fouls. If we are going to follow the trend and believe that speculation, then SGA will probably get more calls in Game 7 since it will be on their home court. I have noticed that some calls look biased, I mean there are also no-calls that should have been called, but that is just my personal observation. I might be biased too since I am rooting for a specific team.

But at least we have Game 7, and as bettors we should not make it a big deal because this really happens in the NBA. What matters now is being on the right side in Game 7 and ending it with a win as well.

I agree, fans are likely going to use this as an excuse if ever the OKC will not make it. We're all agreeing here that this should go for the Spurs, we're cheering for Wemby to get this first so that we get to see his first finals appearance. There were also incidents like this in the important games that made me remember about the Pacers run, I think everyone will remember that too.

I would prefer the Spurs to win the championship than the Knicks simply because of how lousy the Knicks fans are, if they should win the championship this season, the entire NBA should be ready for an entire season of silence, it’s going to be much worse than what we are seeing in Europe right now after Arsenal won the EPL… and it’s going to be twice this season that the Knicks would have denied Spurs a title, first the NBA cup, and now the championship, but Spurs would have to reach the finals first right.

I wouldn't say a bad break, he has been out most of the playoffs and the Thunder has already adjusted without it. But I do agree that it looks like the Spurs has more heart than the defending champions. And although both teams are very young, it looks like the Spurs are hungrier.

And it bring the best out of Wemby, he is now being the leader and taking that role. And the Spurs are the fan favorite because Thunders are just flopping specially their MVP and then looking at the referee in they don't whistle as if he is guarantee to get a call once he flop.

OKC manage to beat Spurs even without him. What is game changing for OKC is the bad call of the referees which they relying too much to win against Spurs.

Spurs will manage to beat OKC even without complete rosters if the call will be fair as much as possible especially on crucial moments of the game which the Spurs always having a hard time to recover.

That's pure bs, I don't think that the NBA commissioner will allow the series to be rigged. If that is the case then the NBA is the worst sporting organization. But it's not, although referee can alter the game with their bad calls, still the players are the one that is going to win games not the referee.

So it's back to the Thunder's homecourt. Obviously, it's going to be hostile for Wemby. But if they can maintain their defense and set up the tone in the first quarter, then there is a big chance that they can go into the finals with Wemby as the new face of the NBA.

The Spurs and OKC match up have already been predicted to reach game 7 even before the playoffs started. With OKC being the defending champs, they won't just allow the Spurs to continue what they did to them in the regular season.
Sure the officials in this series are messed up, but there ain't no way they rigging this series. Have you seen Wemby's dedication to beat the OKC? And OKC being able to bounce back after a blow out is just the main reason why they're the champs in 2025.

If the referee is going to be fair, The game is going to be very different outcome, just like what we see in game 6. Although there are cheap fouls like intention bumping and refs calling it, at least it's not as a flop of SGA.

You said it is controlled by the refs, so if the refs will favor the home team in Game 7, then most likely OKC is going to win.

But what I saw from the Spurs in Game 6 was their adjustment on SGA. They did not really double him anymore, they just showed defense for a second and then went back to the man they were defending. Because of that, the supposed kick-out passes did not happen as much because the defense recovered quickly.

That forced SGA to take tougher shots, and that is why his shooting was very poor.

I think there is nothing we can do about this situation it seems that the league officials and Referees are loving what is going on with the league, like the commissioner who address the situation see nothing wrong with the call, and like tolerating the flopping of SGA, even if we say we are going to boycott the league i don't think silver will do something, he even said that AI will be the one to recognize or call if its a flop or not, but the AI will be feed with information coming from them so they can easily tell the AI if SGA falls its a foul right? so there is no sense on that saying AI will be responsible for the review.

That's the thing, he doesn't think it is "good", he doesn't think it is actually a foul, he thinks it is PR, bad or good, marketing was something NBA needed for a long time. Since the whole Magic and Bird era, they went from games being on relay, to something famous, and since those days, it just grew and grew and grew, up until the last 5-6 or so years.

Since the past five years let's say, it has become more and more boring and less viewership is a huge problem that they are facing. So what are they doing? They are creating a villian, they are creating an enemy of the people, which is why every 29 team will be watching it, to see them lose. Its not Spurs vs OKC, it is about NBA vs OKC and this is why they are going to get more views.
