Yeah, I saw that and jumped after he blocked Hartenstein. It was so fast that even the commentators didn't have the chance to react to it instantly. Kornet was actually playing amazingly when given the minutes to let Wemby rest. He sure cannot do what Wemby can, but those little things he contributed did help win that game.

After watching the game twice, I realized that the Thunder are actually not going to the paint when Wemby is around. It's like every play is an outside shot, and I think this should be a good lesson for them. Sure, Wemby is amazing at defending the rim, but there are always different strategies to pull him out of them and make a higher percentage of a shot, which is in the paint.

This block really changes the game for a moment and the tempo of the game shift to the spurs, if the lay up or if Hartenstein made the basket the OKC might continue to chip the lead and eventually win the game, it might not be the flashy block like lebron but it sure did scare the thunder, because it breaks the momentum that is getting bigger at the moment, cracking the hope of the thunder, makes the spurs eagerness to push back the lead and once Wemby gets inside the thunder knew its over.

Though NYK got a good rest after sweeping the Cavs but the intensity coming from a do-or-die game beating the defending champ I think that boost and mentality will be a good advantage from the Spurs, but we know that in this sport anything can happen there's no sure thing and with how NYK rotates and shared the ball that is something that they can use as an edge, just need to break that solid defense of Spurs especially the alien who can intimidate every shots that you may take.

I was searching for the NBA futures before the season started, just to see the odds of the teams that are now facing each other in the Finals, and I was really surprised by the Spurs’ odds. Don’t be surprised with what you see guys. If you had bet on them early, it would feel like investing in Bitcoin during its early stage.

It's time for NBA finals!  

Game 1 is starting 3 nights later in my timezone. 1.48 for Spurs and 2.65 for Knicks to win the final series. The odds are pretty natural... In the end you wouldn't expect the vice versa in the circumstances.

Will Knicks beat the odds just like Spurs did against Thunder? We'll see about it. But I don't think Spurs will lose the championship from here. Their game is at top level now.

It is a once in a lifetime oppurtunity for them to have a chance to win a ring, after years of chasing to be in the finals, finally its just 4-6 games away to be able be crown champion but every path has someone or a group that is blocking the way for them, they needed more than brunson to overcome the spurs, if they really want to win, then they need to treat the game a do or die game, because if they blink even a bit, the spurs will definitely grab it away from them, every coach now will have to outplay each one, when it comes to experience brown has the edge.

i wasn't giving the Spurs any chance at all. i was absolutely sure OKC would take the series one way or another with their experience advantage. but I was wrong. most of these Spurs players are playing in the playoffs for the first time in their careers and they fought tooth and nail to make it to the finals. this is a massive deal.

Thunder were seriously favoured for Game 7 really. But Spurs played the game so dominantly! Thunder weren't even able to lead the game for long. It must be for like 1-2 minutes only...

I'm going to enjoy the final series between Spurs and Knicks more honestly. It would be great to see a different champion this time. I hope Knicks become champions. The last time they made it was like 53 years ago.

I agree with you that the Knicks don’t match up any better against the Spurs than anyone else. I think this should be a fairly easy win for the Spurs. Scary that Wemby could already be winning championships. I’m sure next year the Spurs will attract some free agent talent and could be very scary for a few seasons…

That's true, they actually adapts and readjusted themselves in the OKC matches, in the first rounds they made a lot of mistakes and turnovers but now they've actually executes their strategy very well and their 3's were on point, they are now seeing the results of their hardwork. Although it's not yet done, it's already an achievement to in the playoffs finals. I think we can see a good match with less flops and a real game and I think we should enjoy it, both team deserves to be in the Finals but I'm rooting on the Spurs.

There's a better advantage on the Knicks though for the game 1 because of how long they were able to rest.
But, a few days of it for the Spurs are enough and the momentum is there.
Everyone starts to like Spurs even if they're not a fan of it before. We all have that one team to cheer during the finals.
And from being a fan of other teams, they're shipping to cheer for the first ever championship of Wembenyama.
