We shouldn't forget about Curry's presence at the same time. But one of LeBron-Giannis would really be good to see there.
--- As for the Lakers, trading LeBron might open up space for new players and probably improve the team , but there is a negative impact as well on the fans since LeBron is a celebrity in sports and people come to see him, so that is something they should consider. But if LeBron is the one asking for a trade, then there is nothing they can do but grant his request, and if he goes to the Warriors, that would mean trading players, but who? Lakers trading Lebron? Can we make at least a research first before spitting out some words, eh? Just for context, Lebron is now an UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENT, and the only way for the Lakers to TRADE HIM like what you're saying is by sign-and-trade. There are some rumors saying that he still wants to be a Laker this coming season, but the question is "ARE THE LAKERS WANT HIM, AND IF YES, WILL LEBRON ACCEPT A MUCH, MUCH LOWER CONTRACT?" The Lakers can't trade a free agent like him so I don't see why you said that they can trade him. If Lebron will sign for a much lower salary for the Lakers then what you said could happen, but if that happens, why will you trade somebody like Lebron James if your the Lakers? That's crazy if you will ask me. Anyway, it seems like Lebron will not accept outside of a max contract or at least a high annual salary.

LeBron has always had a no trade clause in his contracts. It looked like he was going to sign for the minimum with Golden State for a minute, but then the Kawhi rumors didn't pan out for the Warriors and LeBron seems to now be eyeing a one year deal to do a retirement tour. It will be awkward with Luka taking the reigns while LeBron is still garnering the attention, but I think they could have a genuine shot at a title if they could stay healthy.

Not sure about this actually, although Luka was out last playoffs so we cannot confirm, but prior to that OKC dominated them in every or most of their matchups, so if that is still the basis, they will not be able to get past OKC, how much more the Spurs. I think the current Lakers lineup is really a problem if we talk about championship, so it is better if LeBron just leaves if he still wants a chance to win a title, he should join a strong team.

Sign and trade is not really possible due to no trade clause on the contract of Lebron, but LBJ is so flexible and he is willing to go to other team if Lakers will not agree on his condition set. But most likely in their current situation most likely Lakers is willing to move on with LBJ now, since for many times they are showing interest to build around Luka. This give clear sign that they are ready to move on with Lebron. LBJ can still choose on which team he could go on his last shot or retirement tour. Warriors would be great team to land and who knows maybe Curry and LBJ connection could bring them good run then maybe they could be a title contender tandem in next season.

Agree on this, Lakers is far worst even with Luka on their active roster if being compared to Spurs line-up. Yes, they can answer on offense but they have very weak defense which the Knicks step up on this championship to beat a solid Spurs team. Spurs and OKC are the better team for the west. I think fatigue from long series while the Knicks coaching stuff has plenty of prep time analyzing Spurs weakness from the OKC-Spurs series.

Still conflicting reports, and as much as I think that Lebron will go out of Lakers, I don't know, but he might go and stick with them and sign a contract. They still have Luka, and there are so many what if. Like him being healthy, maybe the Lakers will be a different team in the playoff. They just need some solid players down the middle as Lukas has proven that he can carry a team just like what he did when he was with the Mavs.

What a season we had. New York Knicks end the 53-year drought.
The tradition continues. No team can win championship back to back. We always see new champion in last 9 seasons. Honestly I like that way better. No dynasty, more competition.

Or it just shows the team in the last decade or so are very competitive, or at least have learn their lessons from the past and then building their team to be better just like what the Knicks did when they got Jalen Brunson and then KAT. Same with the previous champion the Thunder, they have the luxury of getting top picks and so their GM build a solid win. And now the future looks bright in the case of the Spurs as they have Wemby and other young players as their core.

I agree. If there is one that can win a back-to-back, there should be more drama. I mean, I have seen teams change roster after a championship, while some do keep what they had. Loyalty and keeping a player seem to be rare now. It's all about the money and the contracts nowadays. If you win a championship, you become more valuable, and soon you get arrogant and leave the team. Others are kicked out, especially the role players who did great jobs winning that championship. i.e., KCP and Bruce Brown - Nuggets I like to see a team like the Bulls (Jordan, Pippen) and the Warriors (Steph, Klay) that can keep the team intact and still win it. The Knicks won through a rebuild. It worked fine, and all my respect to the one who formed that team.

And they will surely not make any changes to the team, especially the core of the team. They already achieved the biggest victory, so they should keep it simple, besides there is no real superstar on the team, Brunson was not even a starter in the All-Star before that championship run, so they should remain like that, just do the job and try to deliver another championship. Who knows, although it is hard for a team to win back to back, I think I will take my chances and bet on the team to break it.

Well certainly their tactics this year will not work next season they need an upgrade, even though they succeed, they should make themselves better next year, since they did not face the team that should be their opponent in the east, i thought its going to be them and the pistons, but the cavs were able to out-match the pistons, derails their finals match-up in the east, also next year who ever will face them will already know what to do, if they can still get a a player that can improve what they are missing, they should get it.

Lebron is the second best player in that team ,and a 42 year old dude being your second best player is not a way to win a league title, you can't become champions with Lebron being your second best player. Don't get me wrong, Lebron on his peak could carry a team to a title all by himself, that dude is the greatest of all time to many, and he has done like nearly ten years in a row finals, so of course he is great.
I am just saying, he is not anymore, not like now, dude is 42 years old. If Lakers wants to win anything, they need to make sure they can put Lebron in a role, and then have another superstar for Doncic to play off of, if they can do that and put Lebron at third or even fourth behind reves, then yeah they will be fine, but they need one more star for that.

Yup, as we know it everyone who's desiring to win the title next season will upgrade their roster and for sure after seeing how NYK play their system, they will be ready for it, so NYK needs to make sure that they also have that counter but in terms of the core players I can say that they can keep them all since they are working together, I mean the chemistries and the brotherhood that's something a team should keep to make sure that they've got the same goal, being the current champ always have a weight to hold, let see if how they'll gonna try to defend the crown.

I'm totally agreeing with you on that. LeBron has had an insane career individually. He is one of the living legends in NBA without a doubt. But he is too old now. I mean he is still playing really well for his age of course. But he isn't in his prime also. He should be on the background at the team he goes. Just like his role at Lakers this year. Let's see if he finds himself a team like that.

.. but I think they could have a genuine shot at a title if they could stay healthy.
I don’t think LeBron wants to play with Luka. It would be bad for his legacy if his teammate won an MVP and he still couldn’t get a championship. I keep hearing this rumor that Giannis is going to the Boston Celtics. I just can’t imagine they would take that risk. Giannis wants to party on South Beach. He doesn’t want racial slurs yelled at him in Boston.

LeBron is not a big deal anymore, if he gets traded to the Warriors, I do not think the Warriors will improve significantly. I have a feeling that the Warriors will become the new Lakers, they will still probably fail due to injury, but let us see.
I have the same opinion as you about that. In the end LeBron is 41 years old now. I wish he was still in his best years but unfortunately those times are long gone. Going to Warriors would just make them have another star in his last years. I don't say he wouldn't contribute. He would be quite similar to this year at Lakers for example. He would be a good helper and sometimes we would see him doing extra work.

And it just shows that being number 1 in the regular season is not a assurance that you can go into the finals. Just like what we witnessed this season. Specially Pistons, they are lucky that they were able to get over the Magic in the first round. They are down, unfortunately for the Magic, they have injuries like Wagner that really put their chances to not win after leading the Pistons. But let's see, the odds for a back to back champions are very slim as we haven't had one for almost a decade now.

This could be an ugly end in Los Angeles for LeBron. That’s why I’d like to see him go to Golden State. It would change the environment and give LeBron a chance to be happy again. He didn’t seem happy last season.

He didn’t seem happy last season. Not sure if he is not happy last year, although there could be reasons beyond his control, like Luka getting injured or even Austin Reaves. Although there are moments wherein it looks like he is pointing fingers for some of his team mates like Ayton who is too soft and not pushing himself. Going to the Warriors might be a good option for them. But still though, it might impact the core of the Warriors as they will have to sacrifice and so it will be very hard for them even if Lebron and Curry team up to win another ring between themselves.

He didn’t seem happy last season. That is huge is that is true, as Lebron could be willing to take a pay cut just to be with the Lakers or at least a team with a good chance to win championship. As this point, it's no longer the money for him, he had accomplished so much that money is no longer the incentive. But to cement his legacy, he needed to win another ring to put a separation with other great players. Golden State might be a good team for him, but I don't think that they can offer him max contract.
