NBA Central is reporting that LeBron is asking for a max contract and the Lakers are “nowhere near” offering him that. This could be an ugly end in Los Angeles for LeBron. That’s why I’d like to see him go to Golden State. It would change the environment and give LeBron a chance to be happy again. He didn’t seem happy last season.

A max contract for LeBron at this age? I believe that would be too much. He can't play like the old times because of his age anymore.

He has had an amazing career of course but you can't give max contract to him at this point if you want to have a bright future.

Lakers must be aiming the championship with Doncic. Therefore they should take the needed steps for that. It would indeed be the best for LeBron to join Warriors as in the rumours.

Lebron getting max money is not the issue if you ask me, it's the three years that would not make sense. Lebron playing for three more seasons makes no sense to me, it doesn't look like he can get another three seasons out, he is already showing aging, and while he has done great on the first round and he is still Lebron James, and he still sells tickets, I feel like the novelty has passed.

On his first year here, they were able to sell tickets for max prices and sell out, because people came out to see Lebron at Lakers, but now it doesn't feel like that can be done anymore, people who wanted to see, already saw it, and now Lebron has been there for a while, so you only pay for the talent and not the name anymore. And three more years makes no sense, if it was just max for 1 more season it would be done.

Lakers needs to weight between business as usual or being competitive to win another title, if they want to keep making money then keeping LeBron and give him the Max contract that he's asking might be the right move, while if they are aiming to win a title with Luka as their main man, then letting LeBron and use that space to find a better Center who can help the team inside, Ayton is not enough Luka needs someone like Gafford who understand the way he play the game.

Lakers know business and so as LeBron then if they're saying that they're going nowhere near what he's asking then that settles it. I think they have to build team for Luka and use that max contract for other better and younger prospects that can help the team. I don't even think that LeBron needs that much money when he's getting retired soon and still get paid for that if he decides to. Anyway, was it the Knicks as the first team to get invited in the White House?

So he will be the new head coach of the Chicago Bulls, as I remember he used to play with the Spurs before becoming the interim head coach of Portland. Now, he will bring his talent in developing the young players of the Bulls.

TBH, I just don't want how the roster has been built since they lack of inside defense, but if the Bulls will make some trades this off-season and pursue to get a reliable big, they might become a better team than last season. Also, they have a number 4 pick which on most of the mock draft, will be Caleb Wilson which is also a forward that could be their starting center in the future. Nevertheless, I do hope that Coach Splitter will make this team better because they've been miserable for years already.

Check out this mock NBA draft while we are still waiting for the new season.

Many speculate that this 2026 draft will be full of potential talent which is very good for the developing team that has secure higher spot on the lottery.

If they can pay lebron then he will leave LA, that is business and they know what is going to happen, but this coming season i don't know if they can land a star in LA to fit Luka, they need space and lebron leaving is a good sign for them to rebuild around luka, but are they going to chase for a ring or just to fit in, because they will sure lowball offers again just to complete the lineup and then expect them to be in the finals, seeing this in LA, last few years, they say they will contend for the championship but only in papers.

Lebron thinking he would deserve a max contract just show how self observed this guy is. Sure, business wise he is worth the money since he sells tickets, jerseys and what not else. But sports wise, with salary caps and so on, it's impossible to give him this money. It would leave any franchise with a big whole in the cap, basically jeopardizing their next years in the league. It would also be a contract you can't trade since nobody would ever take it.
He should just retire I think, enough is enough with the self proclaimed king nonsense. He won't get another ring with this demand since it's impossible to build a winning team around a max 20ppg (or less) player.

If that's the case, then maybe it's over for the Lakers and LeBron. I'd really like to see him in a Warriors jersey, even if it's just for one season. Him asking for another max contract makes it seem like he wants to earn as much as possible during his remaining years in the league. Really business minded.

LeBron is still LeBron, but aside from the Warriors, I don't see him creating the same level of hype with any other team unless he announces his retirement. I also don't think the Lakers will give him another max contract because they already have Luka.

They started good the last season, but was not able to sustained that run. So let's see how he will mentor the Bulls as he has a track record with the Portland already and could have a keep eye on developing young players like Avdija and he could replicate that formula in Chicago.

That is a tough job for him, but since the Bulls have trusted him, then let us see if he can bring some improvement to the team. The Bulls really struggled ever since they traded DeRozan, but at the same time the Kings also struggled because of that, so no team really won that trade.

But now, it will be different, they will start fresh with a new coach who brought success to Portland, I wonder why Portland let him go?

So this is probably a complete rebuilding process because when they acquire a new coach, it would probably result in acquiring or trading other players too. Because the coach has a say about his players, he knows who really fits well with the team so he can suggest that to the management. Honestly, I do not expect much from the Bulls next season, but hopefully they will improve and become a playoff team, though with the current lineup, that is still quite far from happening.

Most likely this could be just a start for the Bulls, specially on how they will developed Buzelis and those other guys to be their core. Maybe prior to the start of the season, they will make a good moved to acquire another piece.

Maybe they don't want him to be coach simple as that, maybe they wanted to tank but ended up getting better after he step in as a temporary coach, maybe they wanted to lose but he turn the team around instead of giving him a coaching offer, they did something different, maybe they did not offer him the job, so the bulls sense it and offer him a job instead as a head coach, if by chance he again bring the team to another playoff run, Portland again throw away gems out of their organization, too bad, checking his resume says he can really make a team better.

Splitter is good for developing players and this is his job after he retires for many teams.  So for sure that he gain great experiences and maybe this is the reason why Bulls management trust him then give that role in their team.

But yeah we cannot automatically say that Bulls will be in good shape now after they hire Splitter. Although he made a good run on Portland but situation is different in Bulls, but let see if he can help this team then reach unto playoffs next season.

IIRC, the Bulls had a great start last season, then eventually they started to struggle and really missed the play-in.

That means they have the talent, it is just that they do not have the right coach to guide them to more wins. Now that change is necessary so they can remain consistent, for a young team, it is not impossible to be in the playoffs, just look at Portland and the Spurs, and even the Spurs advanced to the NBA Finals, so nothing is impossible here.

We will see on how effective he will be with the Chicago Bulls. The roster of the Bulls is young and I think that Splitter would really like to make some good rotation with it.

And upon checking the details they have for the Bulls on the official NBA website, it seems not yet updated.

--> https://www.nba.com/bulls/roster

They need to update that right away when their head coach is already Splitter.

It is normal that they would struggle because there would be a new system being implemented, but they will be able to adjust its depend on how the players will be able to adapt faster, if he turn the team around in Portland for sure with players and stars players bulls can win games, right now they need to find a star lets see if they will be able to land a star on the team, but with the current line-up, it will be hard but everything needs to be in the process so lets see how he will be able to fit with the team.

The problem with the team he is in, is the players failed to be healthy all year long, I think if he's teammates before and now are healthy he could have more than six rings to be honest, but unfortunately maybe its a curse for him having healthy all season, because his teammates gets injured on the road to the finals.
Lebron can still have impact on the team but don't put him in a position where he needs to carry the team because as much as he want's to, his body can no longer tolerate that and might get an injury along the way, but if he can be the 2nd or 3rd scorer they can win another ring for sure.
I would say, even if they were 100% healthy, they were not better than Spurs, OKC, Knicks trio, so there was no way that Lakers would win, even if everyone was fully healthy, I mean not only injured, but rested and trained and fully in shape, it still wouldn't matter.

Lakers needs one more star, I insist on that, there is no way that they can go with the same squad and hope to win anything, that is not going to happen. They got another centre, but not a star, and it may not work well for them.

Lebron at Warriors right now doesn't make it a great team, still makes it a good team, but not like before. The thing about Lebron and Warriors were years ago, when Klay was there. Idea that they would have two amazing shooters, klay and steph, a great defender with green, and Lebron who would have the ball ,drive, and pass out to everyone who is open, and they could have won the league without possibly losing games lol.

So yeah, Lebron to warriors when they had that would work. But today? I do not know, they have Steph still there, but aside from that, not many players would fit with Lebron anymore, they do not have anyone that would be that much of a lethal shooter and would not work that great, still would be a good team but not that good anymore.
