WTH! Hornets traded Lamelo to Minnesota for Naz Reid some picks and swap picks. This came out of nowhere, lol.
I don't know what's worse about this trade, Hornets traded their 1 true point guard, or Minnesota giving away their 6moy who have significant contribution on both ends of the floor and some important picks. Lamelo and Edwards are both ball dominant, not sure who's going to adjust between these two.

We might be seeing more surprising trades soon.

It's very unexpected to me also. LaMelo Ball's stats this season weren't more impressive than the last one, okay. But I was still seeing him as one of crucial members of the roster.

But it looks like Hornets didn't see it that way. I wonder if they found his salary too much for his general performance... Anyways, there are a ton of guard options at Timberwolves now. A good addition to have more depth.

It is a bit baffling why the Hornets would get rid of him. They seemed to have it figured out the second half of the season and were one of the hottest teams in the league. They were also one of the youngest. This move makes no sense to me. LaMelo must have been one hell of a distraction in the locker room.

Boston seems to be desperately searching for a trading partner. Jaylen Brown was upset about being offered for Giannis and wants out. That will be a big trade. Not sure who they could get for him. Maybe Kevin Durant. Austin Reeves might even be a decent candidate now that he is under contract.

This is unbelievable, there is a lot of movement inside the Timberwolves and they are getting a player that I believe is good, but also injury prone.

And you are right, both are ball dominant, but the good thing with LaMelo is that he is a willing passer, so I hope he will fit with the team. But the Wolves are also disturbing their defense here, which is their main strength, because Reid is a good defender. He is tall and can shoot, even from outside.

So I don’t know, this is a big gamble for them. I just hope it pays off the way they expected.

Same with what both of you said, not sure if how both ball dominant players will play alongside each other, not unless they'll blend well with that same intension to win a title, with AE and Ball their front line is more explosive they just need to have someone who can work on both offense and defense to fill the spot when defense are irritating them, there's always a need of a role players that will going to work well with these two superstars.

Here's a new fresh rumor for you.  LeBron James is said to be trying to find a way out of Los Angeles now that it is clear they won't be able to bolster their roster if they resign him.  The fresh rumor is that Cleveland and Los Angeles are talking about a possible sign and trade option to move LeBron James back to the Cleveland Cavaliers for his retirement tour, while receiving back Jarrett Allen, who gives them a much needed presence at the rim.  I imagine this would mean DeAndre Ayton is out and would give Los Angeles a core of Luka, AR, & Jarrett.

He gambled just like Schroder, but he got lucky on this one. I think it is also a different situation compared to Schroder back then, because Schroder was not really a starter, while Reaves is already a starter and he showed that he can be consistent. His numbers also prove it. So that was a great move for him, getting a max contract. And with that kind of salary, most likely the Lakers are thinking of building the team around him and Luka, since LeBron will be out soon.

For me, when it comes to comparing Jarrett Allen and Deandre Ayton, I think Ayton is the better player overall. Although I agree that Cleveland became much better team after acquiring Jarrett Allen. As for Ayton with the Los Angeles Lakers, I think the main issue is that he hasn't developed the same chemistry with the team that he had during his time with the Phoenix Suns. As for the trade, if it's just LeBron and Ayton for Jarrett Allen alone, the Lakers would definitely lose that deal if it happens..

If it's a max contract of around $50M per year then that's impossible. However, if it's $20M only, they might take it into consideration. Things like this will just be a 1-year deal, or it might be 2 years with a team-option at the final year or the like. With $20M per year, there's a chance that a deal could happen.

I'm nothing against the age of Lebron, but let's not forget how he played last season and in the playoffs where he became their main offensive guy, and we know that he isn't the type of player where he can carry the team anymore, but he did because there's no other way. A $20M contract or even lower would be better for both the Lakers management and Lebron as well especially if he still wants to be a Laker after he retire.

This is more of about Ego Vs. Money. Take a lower salary, stay with the Lakers, but if your ego is at the highest, you will decline that offer and will find a better contract. If only players nowadays can do what Brunson did last year where he took a paycut to build a better team. Unfortunately, players prioritize money more over chasing the title.

I don't know if it is a old video, but I have seen videos and images of Lebron and his Cavs team having a reunion, those members who are part of the Cavs winning their last championship with Lebron leading them.

So most likely if this is a latest news then most likely this is the reason why there are a reunion.

In any case it will be good if he will have his last team as a retirement, but not sure if the Lakers will only take Allen for that.

Yes, that's what I also thought. They might be luring teams as they have laying down the bait and see if someone is going to bite on that one with Lebron. So they are a bit tricky side for some other teams to think that it could still be a good idea to get Lebron.

But in any case that he goes to Cavs, and retire them for good, then it should be fitting for the legend for the team that drafted him. And then make a comeback and promise a ring which he fulfilled and now he can reunite and end his career there with his jersey hang on the arena.

I understand he was upset that he was offered as a trade piece for Giannis, but at the same time, he has to ask himself, if he wanted max and Boston did not give it and some other team did give him more money, wouldn't he leave?

The Clippers probably have their choice of Keldon Johnson or Carter Bryant, if I had to guess. Bryant is the obvious pick as a 20-year-old with tremendous physical tools and defensive acumen on the wing. He should complement a youth movement led by Darius Garland and Wagler, two finesse guards, well. Devin Vassell is a talented scoring wing on a friendly contract. Luke Kornet is salary filler, but the Clippers do also need frontcourt depth. His screen-setting and short-roll passing could mesh nicely with L.A.'s new backcourt.

Spurs would lose lots of young talents which they prove useful on their last year title run. Don't know if how deeply bad their bench will get affected on this plan trade, but let see how Spurs will deal with Kawhi's possible addition on their team.

That's the point I'm not sure about for now... The reason why is that he likes to play independent rather than a teamwork.

The team is still too weak honestly. If I were to choose, I would not give Reaves a max contract.

Well, Luka is already a proven scorer, and I think with the salary they gave to Reaves, they could have gotten more players to surround Luka, so the Lakers would improve, especially their second unit. But it already happened, so we have to respect that. Let’s just hope that in the coming season, we will see some improvement. And if they reach the playoffs, hopefully they will be a better team and not just exit in the first round, or at best the second round.
