Who do you guys think won this trade? I believe the Sixers will have a better standing next season.

Obviously on paper, the Celtics won that trade, but we never know yet if Brown will really fit with the team. It is just right to expect that they will have a good standing next season, but that will only happen if Embiid stays healthy.

The only problem for the Sixers honestly is Embiid, because whenever he gets injured, the season of the Sixers usually starts to struggle. So that will be the biggest factor we have to consider. Brown is already a great player, but since basketball is a team game, they still need their big man to stay healthy and play at a high level.

It is hard to expect too much from PG since he is already aging, but of course we never know what the Celtics saw in him and why their best player was traded for him. I am just hoping they will not become another Dallas story where they traded their best player and struggled after that. Anyway, there is still Tatum, and maybe they do not want too much competition with him. The last time they won a championship, I remember Tatum’s face, he looked disappointed that he did not win the Finals MVP.

The Los Angeles Lakers are done with the Ayton era. They are trading Deandre Ayton to the Washington Wizards for Jaden Hardy and two Wizards second-round picks. I think Ayton got a little bit of a bad deal in Los Angeles, but what else is new. They have moved on to other pastures.

There's a total restructure and rebuilding of the team.

They've got no oldies anymore and if it's right that Reaves is the oldest in the team.

No need for Ayton anymore, Kessler is going to do the job and let's see how this reformed Lakers will be doing its way with this roster.

So I do not think it will be hard for PG to blend with the team, especially if he is healthy, because a healthy Paul George is still very dangerous. We already saw that from his production with the Clippers. Who knows, maybe this will be the team where PG finally wins a championship.

PG health is always the what if whenever he was being traded. It’s literally a gamble to acquire him since he is most of the time not productive due to injury prone.

Boston already traded most of their championship pieces including, Holiday, Brown, Porzingis and Horford. They choke a lot of playoffs before so I really doubt that their current roster will have higher chance compared to their recent roster with JB to reach finals.

Well its business but no matter where he plays he is well paid and compensated, because of his contract its just loyalty in the nba is not assurance that you will not be traded, if they want you out they will, maybe it started when he was not selected in us team, or because he did not carry the team last season, which is tatum should have done.

i keep thinking to myself that the only thing making this trade reasonable would be a decision by the owners aimed at getting under the salary cap...
forget about the second apron even the first apron is painful now and i think the new franchise owners want to run the team by shifting toward financial control. the pursuit of a championship might now be a process conducted with Brad Stevens within financial limits. entire NBA has to play by these rules.

I don't want to belittle the Celtics but IMO, they're still a good team though despite that Brown has left and traded.

But there is no doubt that the Sixers have got a boost with their roster.

In next season I want to see Jaylen crashing down the Celtics when they face off, since that will give justice on that trade happen to him.

Eventually, he will accept that because the NBA is just pure business. Whatever the management sees, they will act on it, no hard feelings. Remember, he is paid, so he should act professional and play like he is paid to do.

There is a reason why he got traded, but my advice for him is to just accept the reality because it is easier to move on that way. He has nothing to prove to his old team, but he has to prove to the other teams that he is still a great player and that he can make his current team a championship team.

If he can do that, then he will get real respect.

They say it's the defense that they need. Who knows? JB is an offensive player, and they had Derrick White and Jrue Holiday covering the defense for them back when they achieved the championship. They let Jrue go, and they actually lacked in defense last season, so I guess they are going back to that since it was the successful one.
But Tatum had an Achilles injury, and JB actually covered for him. They will feel the lack of offense if he is ever injured again.

The good part here is that JB will be playing for their rival in the East. I cannot wait to see them clash, and it will probably be entertaining with Embiid fueling the fire.

If the Sixers remain in the playoffs, it will be nice to see them playing against each other. It will be Tatum vs JB, and that is a great matchup to witness.

Honestly, I would rather choose Davis over Embiid because Davis is more versatile than Embiid and I think he is a better team player.

There are really many teams speculated with LeBron these days. Heat, Cavaliers, 76ers, Warriors... But which team does he want in the first place? Is it one of these teams or a different one?

I have heard of even Wizards' name. For a maximum contract maybe he can even go there if it's possible. In that situation he would reunite with Anthony Davis also. Seeing him back at Heat or Cavaliers would also be quite nice though.

Paul George "was" a better player than Brown has ever been, if we are comparing their peak times then PG13 had an era where he tried to be the best in the league, he was never best, but he was gunning for it, we never saw Brown ever be in top five, let alone be near the best, even on this season where he did not play with another star player, he was the only one, and he did great, he still wasn't top five, PG13 had multiple top 5 seasons.

But right now? PG13 is old, and he is only getting older, I do not think he has that lockdown ability he used to have, and his offense is all he has left, and even that is not that great, I am not sure if Celtics can utilize him in a way that would work great for them at the moment.
