honestly it doesn't sound bad for Lebron to return to where he started and make one last championship run. anyway because of the physical grind, playing center is a stretch for LeBron these days but he’s still capable of contributing to every single team in the league across the other four positions.

Will LeBron play the center position in case he gets traded to the Cavaliers? Hmm, that is quite interesting.

I have seen him play as center before, but never on a fixed basis, so I think that would be something new for him. Even with his height and strength, LeBron still loves to play like a point guard, just like what he did with the Lakers before Luka was traded to the team.

Sixers definitely reached a good level, Jaylen Brown and Embiid as a duo is a lethal one, and the players around them are very good too.

But I am not sure how healthy they will be. Brown is usually healthy, but Sixers are famous for being medically bad, every player they have constantly gets injured and returns very late, if that problem continues, they are going to face some issues. I think that seems like the situation at hand to fix, if they fix that and players stay healthy, they have a very strong squad.

It is not really the Sixers who are famous for being medically bad, it is mostly Embiid. I cannot even remember if he has played a full season without getting injured.

For me, Embiid is injury-prone, so the more load he carries, the higher the chance that he gets injured again. What I would like the Sixers to do is evenly distribute the scoring and not give Embiid too many minutes.

With JB’s addition, their offense should improve, and I believe they also have a good backup center, so they should use him effectively to manage Embiid’s playing time better.

They are willing to take that as they really intend to bring him home, though it's more on how LeBron will see this as better place to retire or if he's aiming to win for another title, it's going to be a tough one to decide, following that statement, it's the team who are willing to bring both the father and son unlike with Giannis which he's the one who's demanding for that package to have his brother playing with him, let see if where's the final destination for LeBron.

That is a very tempting offer by the team. LeBron should consider it, leave the Lakers, and have another opportunity to win a championship again with his old team.

Mitchell and Harden are already enough to bring the team to the playoffs, but with LeBron, that would be a huge upgrade. Hopefully LeBron will consider that because it would create a great storyline, him going back to the Cavs and the fans being willing to welcome him again.

Do the Cavs have a chance of winning a championship? I don't think so. They're not a weak team and they might make the playoffs, but I don't think they have a chance of winning a championship. LeBron won't be the same as he used to be; he's very experienced and might be the GOAT, but there are players who can play much better than him right now. LeBron shouldn't be the team's biggest star; if he is, it will be very difficult for the team to win a championship. Donovan Mitchell isn't someone who can do it alone either

Agreed. If he's chasing his fifth ring, I don't think the Cavs are the best place to be. But if it's going to be his final season, then it would be nice to see him go back to where it all started.

I'm not being biased, but if his only goal is to win a fifth ring before retiring, I'd rather see him team up with Curry than with Harden and Mitchell. Based on Shams' list, though, I think he has a better chance of winning with the Nuggets or the Wolves, and maybe even with the Sixers, as long as Embiid stays healthy and is at his best. They also have Jaylen Brown now.

That said, we all know the Western Conference playoffs are much tougher. The teams there are more stacked.

Man, I have really big expectations from 76ers as of now. Jaylen Brown is a wonderful addition beside Embiid.  Grin

Maxey, Edgecombe... They have a really good roster. I expect big things in playoffs especially. They can even reach at least semi finals in their conference.

I know it's early to talk about these things as teams are still making their trades. But this is just a thought of mine about them.

The Sacramento Kings are waiving DeMar DeRozan. His career seems to have hit a low. Not sure how much longer he will be in the league. The Kings said nobody was willing to trade for him. He’s always wanted to play in Los Angeles, so I wouldn’t put it passed him to become a Clipper at a reduced salary.

LeBron will never gonna be a first option anymore. If he teams up with 2 stars, he should be the 3rd option. The Lakers could have worked if Luka hadn't gotten injured. Reaves did not have a good playoff run after the injury.
If LeBron goes to the Cavs, they actually have a chance at winning the championship. I think the current Cavs roster is already solid, what they need is leadership. Mitchell and Harden can't lead a team, that's been proven by their previous team, which is why they got traded.
The Cavs actually have a good frontcourt and backcourt, plus a good bench. LeBron doesn't need to carry them just the way he carried the Cavs before, but he can guide them to play better in the playoffs.

Also, The team make an adjustment and ready a spot with Bronny and want to see the father and son duo wearing Cavs.
I've read about this and the Cavs are ready to make a slot for the dad and the son. Just in case LeBron is looking to retire with the Cavs.

This is like how Giannis has been taking his brother Thanasis during his stint with the Bucks. It's always a package deal for both of them.

But on the James', the team itself really looking forward for the signing of the two and to be chosen as their final team to lay before LeBron's retirement.

If he goes there, they've got a lot of center so he's spared from the paint if it's with the defense. It's also a winnable team I think because they've been so consistent for the past years although always fall short in the playoffs.

Everyone can't wait for the decision where he's going to land, how long is the deadline of the signing or the trades until it's finally closed?

There's a lot of twist that did happened in the short period of time for this off season.

This is an interesting story. After originally refusing Tim Hardaway Sr. has changed his mind and will let his son Tim Hardaway Jr. wear his retired number 10 jersey with the Miami Heat. I saw an interview where he was pretty adamant that his son couldn’t wear the number. I wonder what changed.

And so Rui will still stay in LA, but this time it will be with the Clippers. Not sure why the Lakers didn't resign him, he has one of the best season with them and really contribute and he could be the 3rd or 4th option for them before.

But I guess the Lakers is rebuilding as Lebron is not going to play with them anymore so they might as well try to trade anyone that can be associated with King James.

Very tempting indeed and LeBron is one of the few players at his age to get this kind of offer and it is the teams which are giving him the favors just to choose them for his retirement.
LeBron is a legend, so it is not surprising that he gets this kind of offer. Besides, LeBron can still produce good stats in the game, so if he plays with the Cavs, he will not be a liability. The team will also boost its ticket sales because people will come to see LeBron, especially since he already gave a championship to this team before. But of course, the decision is still on him. Even if the offer is tempting, if he does not want to go back to that team, then there is nothing we can do.
And IIRC, he's also willing to lower his salary so he's giving that opening as well to adjust for the team to have that cap for whoever deserves to get more salary or more firepower to the team. No doubt about the ticket sales that's going to boost wherever he goes.

honestly it doesn't sound bad for Lebron to return to where he started and make one last championship run. anyway because of the physical grind, playing center is a stretch for LeBron these days but he’s still capable of contributing to every single team in the league across the other four positions.
I agree that won't be bad and he's not completely new to the team if ever he's back to the Cavs.

If he will return to Cleveland and bring another championship at his age, his legacy will be solidified and the haters will run out of issues against him at age 41 no one can argue, but as we all know they find ways, the offers were because of the people he can draw in the stadium at the same time jerseys those alone any team can afford because they can already have their money back as he signs because jerseys will be sold out in seconds or minutes, lowering is contract will also help teams add another star to secure or to have additional percentage for winning a ring or west or east championship, that is why this teams are chasing him badly.

I don’t think Cleveland has the roster to get him another championship. I don’t think Golden State does either. If he wants to win a chip, he’s going to have to go to Miami. That’s the only team I think he could really join now and realistically win a championship right away.

I do hope that he can go back to the Raptors and finished it there. There was even a hint base on Lowry's video, that everyone is texting him after they might have heard the news that he is signing back to Toronto as a final year in the NBA.

But instead of texting, Lowry gets a call from DeRozan but we haven't heard what they converse and Kyle went into the background.

That's could be a hint though, but let's see, I think DeRozan could still have at least 2 solid years in his career before he goes into retirement.

The Lakers is kinda expecting that Rui Hachimura would go to another team that is why they signed Sandro Mamukelashvili who is also a stretch big. Mamu's numbers last season is quite impressive as he average 52 percent shooting from the field and almost 40 percent from the rainbow area, this might be the guy that Luka needed for his kick out passes. Also the good thing about Mamu is that is not prone to injury, he even played 80 games for the Raptors last season.

I don’t think he wants to go back to Toronto. Lowry is only going to sign a 1-day contract to retire there. I’m pretty sure all DeRozan’s family and childhood friends are in Los Angeles. I remember seeing interviews with him where he said he always wanted to play in Los Angeles. I think that’s why he went to Sacramento, to be closer to them.

Actually Rui had intention to go back on Lakers before, but it Lakers don't want to sign him back anymore.

Also Lakers informed this.

Quote
The contract extension negotiations between the Los Angeles Lakers and Rui Hachimura have reportedly broken down to the extent that they have told him they no longer want him back in the purple and gold jersey for the 2026-27 season.

According to Aron Cohen, the founder of apparently the largest fan club of the Lakers in the world, Lakers All Day Everyday, a source has confirmed to him that the Lakers informed Hachimura that they will not be bringing him back.

Source article https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/lakers-reportedly-confirm-rui-hachimura-010127276.html

So no chance for Rui and it seems Lakers want to move on from him then try to get new players. Also this is maybe the reason why he choose to sign on Clippers even if he get more lesser contract from this team.

I would add sixers in the list because they are the one that is good in papers, the miami heat is also a good one but can giannis and lebron work, if this works then i would like lebron to be in miami uniform, but lebron should be ready on stones that the caster will throw at him, they will be paid again handsomely for taking jabs on lebron for the rest of the season, and the NBA is alive again because of this, but i hope they let lebron do his thing, because this guy have recieved the garbage in the world throw at him by this people i would be happy that lebron once and for all get another ring, and see their faces reaction after.

76ers doesn't have a great forward in the roster right now - considering Embiid is naturally a center. So it'd be nice to see LeBron there. I've no doubt he'd perform much better than the current options at the team.

However is there any room in the cap? They've just got Jaylen Brown as well and his yearly salary is $53m! There is Embiid too with a similar salary and Maxey follows with $38m...

Unfortunately, I can't say the same for DeRozan; he had an unfortunate career ending. Despite his advanced age, he still has the potential to break records, but I think his later years were rather lackluster. I believe he should definitely go to the Raptors and retire with a legendary ending, so we'll remember him fondly. It's great to see players like him return to where they started; those teams are the ones that support them the most
