If we compare the number of rings MJ is one step ahead. He is 6x NBA champion while LeBron is 4x. People can discuss the times they got those championships of course in terms of one being achieved in 90s for example. But MJ was really something else. A special kind of legend! Even though how much I respect LeBron's career and I admire him MJ is the GOAT for me as well. I wish he was able to win even more championships. Everybody agrees that MJ is the goat. I wonder why these two are being compared and Kobe isn't on their list when there are also die hard fans saying that Kobe is the best amongst them all. Anyway, the debate for the goat will never be stopped. Let alone the title of being the king, it's mostly called to LeBron and that's the title already before he's about to retire. In terms of their basketball IQ, they're all different and geniuses. But I think MJ is the goat overall, including his NBA career and as well as being a businessman. He even bought the Charlotte Hornets long time ago and sold majority of his stakes 3 years ago.

But for me, even after all of LeBron James' accomplishments, I'd still pick MJ as my GOAT. He has been my GOAT ever since I was a kid, and that hasn't changed. It's not because I'm a die-hard fan, but MJ is MJ. He had that kind of aura when he was still playing. LeBron is also a great player, no question about that, but I never once thought he was the GOAT. For me, MJ's greatness is still above LeBron's.

Victor Oladipo seen crying in front of scouts after his practice, he still wants to get back to the NBA. But I think that Pacers have given him the best contract but he declined it. Although he's got a good run with the Miami Heat as well. These players will be serving as a lesson to the new talents in the NBA. Yeah, they might be in their peak and potential but if they're the ones declining the contract. Soon, they'll be the next Dennis Schroder although that guy was still fortunate that he's on his 8th team and still gets some contract.
Dennis eat his pride and continue to pursue his career even he did not get what he want but still able to find someone to sign him, and yes for those newcomers better to learn from this mistake, better to think twice before declining any offer, if you don't want to see yourself regretting your decision better to keep that pride low and showcase everything that you've got, with your extra effort it is the management that will give you decent offer for the performances that you bring for the team.

I understand the frustrations some fans have because of the prolonged LeBron decision 2.0, but I think there's a reason behind this. What that is, surely it's for the good of the business. We will never gonna see another 40+ years old player who's being chased by several teams in the free agency to play for them. Having him in a team is good for the business 100%, especially when being paired with another superstar like Steph. So, I was really starting to believe that he might going to end up with the GSW. A few important things to consider, including his properties in Cali. and it's pretty convenient for him and his family, plus he already has a good team for another title run.
It was reported that LeBron and his agent already have all the info about all the teams that are interested in signing him, and he's ready to make a decision anytime soon. Rumors are really strong about him going to GSW. But, I won't rule out what Chris Bosh said that he might end up on a team where we least expected. So, Washington is a real possibility.
I agree that it is not going to be easy, and we should not be considering how Lebron could literally change the shape of a team, if not by talent at least with financials because wherever he ends up, will have sold out tickets. However, if we are dealing with yet another months long situation, I also understand why this decision 2.0 is very boring to people. I agree that he should have made the decision long ago. This dude did not realize he was leaving Lakers yesterday, I am sure he knew it months and months ago, maybe even a year ago, not sure. So he should have made this decision long ago as well.

Not everybody because LBJ fans still think that he is the goat, but majority would provably agree that MJ is the goat of NBA. But still LBJ have wonderful career and I think many agree that he's so close to be a goat if he just manage to win many championship in Lakers and retires on that team. Also I don't think its important to talk about those Goat matters, because what's more important to discuss is the legacy of Lebron and his possible upcoming retirement.

If I were to rank the best players I personally watched, my top three would be: 1. MJ 2. Kobe 3. LeBron I know many people would say LeBron is better than Kobe, but that does not really change how I see it. My judgment is based a lot on how a player carries the team and performs in big moments. For me, the main difference is that Kobe and MJ were more willing to take the last shot, while LeBron sometimes preferred to make the right pass instead. No disrespect to LeBron, that is just how I see it, and of course I could be wrong.

Those two have the killer instinct, not saying that Lebron doesn't but when it comes to clutch, MJ and Kobe are built differently. And then the number of rings, 6 for 6 for MJ, 5 for 7 for Kobe, and Lebron is 4 for 10. Then the argument that Lebron joins super team while MJ and Kobe carry the Bulls and the Lakers with just role players, but the common denominator is coach Phil Jackson in which Lebron doesn't have the luxury.

Yeah, the numbers speak for themselves. Thanks for adding more substance to the argument about why LeBron cannot automatically be called the GOAT. Based on the numbers you presented, it seems like the better comparison is between Kobe and LeBron rather than putting LeBron above everyone else right away. In fact, if I remember correctly, MJ once said that Kobe was the player closest to him. I do not remember him saying the same thing about LeBron or any other player. That is another reason why I still see Kobe as being closer to MJ.

I think this is the statement.. Michael Jordan lists players he'd want to play 1v1; "I don't think I'd lose- other than Kobe Bryant because he steals all my moves"And I agree. Watching Kobe, you can really see a lot of MJ in his game, so that comparison feels valid, especially since it also came from MJ himself. LeBron is great too, but his style is different. He is bigger, taller, and more athletic, and he was clearly gifted with those physical advantages. He has also won championships and built an amazing career. But in the end, there can only be one GOAT. It all depends on who each of us believes deserves that title.

Is today the day we find out where the King lands for next season? Some people seem to think so. I can’t tell if the whole upstaging Trump’s announcement is a joke or not. I guess we will find out soon.
Personally, I want to see him join the Warriors. I think his best option is the 76ers. However, I think he will end up choosing the Cavs for the storyline.

Nope. You, and the other fans of Lebron out there will wait for weeks before a major announcement will be done. Lebron loves to be on the spotlight and right now, there are many news outlet out there that are speculating on where he will be going that's why I will not be surprised if we only see the announcement maybe next month. Anyway, the best thing that we can do is to just speculate and predict on where he will be going. The only 2 people who knows the truth are Lebron himself, and his agent. As for where he will be going, I just want him to be on a team where he will fit there. Heck, I will still be okay if he joins AD and the Wizards. I just want him to play for maybe the "final" year of his career. We can speculate whatever we want here. We can just wait. I can also say that his next team that he will be playing will be... hmmmm maybe the Wizards.

From what I've read it seems that all the GMs have submitted their proposals to LeBron and have worked out what they could do to surround him with talent. There isn't much more that time offers here. At some point he is going to want to start working with his new team. I'd feel pretty safe betting any amount of money that he won't play for the Wizards next season. He either wants to make the fans happy and stay close to home (Warriors), he wants to chase a championship (76ers), or he wants to film a documentary and put a bookend on his career in storybook fashion (Cavaliers). I think those are really his options at the moment.

Haliburton made a tweet last night by saying "Tomorrow it’s time" and tagged LeBron in that. What was that about? https://x.com/Hali/status/2077490116562505886I guess he tried to push him for revealing his next probable team. But I didn't see any clear answer to that by King James. Man, when are we going to find out I wonder? I know there is still a long time for the new season to start but I'm sick of waiting this long. I hope he announces it soon.

The NBA is investigating Gary Trent Jr.'s $64 million 4-year deal with the Bucks, per Shams Charania.
Sort of messed up if you are Gary Trent. The NBA thinks you aren’t worth the money to the point they’re investigating for shenanigans. The allegation likely being that they had a special deferred deal in place to get under the salary cap.
I’m not going to post the pic because it is super creepy to me… but there’s an image circulating online supposedly showing that LeBron has enrolled his daughter in a school in Philadelphia.

I don't understand what LeBron is waiting for to announce the team he's joining. I don't think it's about the money. As the process drags on, stories and social media posts like this are bound to surface. Since his name has come up, I hope we get to watch Haliburton in Indiana this year.

I don't understand what LeBron is waiting for to announce the team he's joining. I don't think it's about the money. As the process drags on, stories and social media posts like this are bound to surface. Since his name has come up, I hope we get to watch Haliburton in Indiana this year. I think it's part of the promotion like something to keep people talking about the league and debating which team LeBron James will end up with. Also we don't know if situations like this are connected to prediction markets, so they might be avoiding saying anything because of gambling related concerns. Right? Almost every sportsbook already has market on which team LeBron will play for this season. But still I think it's mainly for promotional purposes like more noise for NBA.

There was a press conference on Miami Heat side and they said something like they landed the plane and there is another one they have to land. Could it be LeBron you think? Warriors, Heat and Cavaliers are the most rumoured teams regarding his next possible team. The odds for his next team are changing very often these days. It is so hard to make a guess.

The debate about who the GOAT is feels like an endless discussion. It is an endless discussion and everyone has their own opinion about the topic. But I think that if it's the two and everyone compares it, there's everyone who would like to agree about MJ as the goat.
There are die hard fans of LeBron would say that he is and that's okay, everyone is entitled for their own opinion and what they think about it. The thing abou these idols is that they're not going to know us that we support them.

Miami could be one of the possible teams he might join, but honestly, I do not see him playing there again. He already won multiple championships with Miami, and that situation was very different because the Heat were a superteam when he joined them. Now that he is entering the final stage of his career, I can see a homecoming happening instead. For me, the Cavaliers make the most sense as the team where he could finish his career.

I personally could care less where Lebron ends up going. I think his time is over and he should retire, go enjoy the billion dollars he has made over his career. Guy has done enough to be remembered well after he is gone, our kids kids will likely be talking about Lebron James well into their golden years. He has made that much of an impact on the game regardless of anyone's personal opinions of him.
